Some people just have "it". Diana had it and Flo didn't. Even when Diana went solo she was still successful. She made the Supremes legendary and they could not survive without her and they didn't. She became a success even if she does look like a praying mantis.

@mschest Mary was especially gorgeous. (I always thought, especially when she wore the ponytail-fall, that she looked like Barbara Eden.) Florence was stauesque, and neither Mary nor Florence had to "mug" to the camera like Diana did. (Though I must say, Diana, by about 1976, sort of grew into an attractive woman.)
