Your actually going to want to set the camera behind you at about shoulder height with the VGA setting it may not have as good video quality but it will have better audio quality
For such a small condenser mic, the Vado HD has decent sound quality...if a little treble-y. I record audio separately through my drum mics for the drum covers (which is pretty much all I post on YouTube), so I only use the Vado for the video.
If you're interested in the audio quality, check out my video "Dorm Room Opus." All of that was done with the Vado audio, and I thought it turned out pretty well. In this video there was a loud air conditioner, so it's not an accurate depiction of sound.
I've considered Metropolis, and might end up doing it at some point...but I haven't listened to it nearly enough to know it, and it's going to take a lot of work on my part to get it good enough to record, lol. But it'll be a good challenge like Dance of Eternity was, so I might just get to work on learning it.
Hmm, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking - I've uploaded videos straight from the Vado HD before and they've worked just fine, so long as you add "&fmt=22" to the end of the URL. (Somehow that makes it not choppy) This video, though, was converted to .wmv format so I could edit it in the video program I use, because it would only recognize the audio of the Vado HD's .avi format. What exactly do you mean by "blur?" Like actual blur on the picture, or choppy motion?
Thanks for the suggestions - I can't keep the songs I do completely Christian or I'd be missing out on a heck of a lot of good music! Not too many prog Christian bands out there...only one I can think of is Narnia.
Never heard the Jeremy Camp song before, but just listened to it and really liked it, so I'll cover it next time I go home. Also, if I'm feeling crazy enough, I might do a Tourniquet cover sometime...we'll see!
