During the '60s, '70s, '80s, etc., using children to obtain welfare checks, AFDC benefits is a major part of the economy in the inner-city. For decades the inner-city has been an area with high unemployment, especially pertaining to black men with criminal records.

Although unrelated, it is fine, cool and trendy when whites partake in any activity that is deemed as shameful when minorities do it. Ie: thrift store shopping, acting/looking ghetto or trashy, having gardens in the backyard to grow vegetables and save money (if white people do it, it's "sustainable" and "green" but if minorities do it, its cheap and we even make fun of our own for it).

It is certain that Malcolm X knew of activity to where Elijah Muhammad et al used the children of these women & other women to obtain AFDC benefits.
During the '60s, '70s, '80s, etc., using children to obtain welfare checks, AFDC benefits is a major part of the economy in the inner-city. For decades the inner-city has been an area with high unemployment, especially pertaining to black men with criminal records.
This is not to make excuses for the NOI because there is no excuse.

That is not entirely true. As stated earlier after learning of the hypocricy of the Nation of Islam's leadership, Malcolm changed. Malcolm X converted to organizing the community to hold elected leaders accountable to the existing laws, which includes the U.S. Constitution, the "Bill of Rights".
I believe this is Malcolm X's greatest contribution to the Black community. This contribution does not live on today because the Black community & our own leaders do not promote this.

U.S. Constitution, the "Bill of Rights" are the foundation of all other laws within the U.S.
Be it past or present, every State Constitution must adhere to the U.S. Constitution, because the U.S. Constitution is the Supreme Law within the U.S. There is not a court jurisdiction, police officer, elected official, etc., who is not sworn under oath and bound by law to uphold the U.S. Constitution, a respective State Constitution, etc.
