just saw this movie on tcm, it was really awesome, specially the script and the music even though i am not used to these old movies, i really liked it.
Just to let you know, this film is going to be re-released on DVD in February 2011 on The Criterion Collection. And yes, it will be filled with more extras than the cheapo version from MGM.
The motion picture that will never be FORGIVEN! Perfect!

What a great script. Most studio executives today wouldn't know a good script if it walked up and bit them in the ass. I should know. I'm one of them.
Great film in just about every aspect. Burt Lancaster doing a slimy Walter Winchell type of journalist. Tony Curtis as his even slimier toadie. And I love the speech that Martin Milner makes about Lancaster's character. Timeless and lurid all the way.
I highly recommend this movie....amazing music...superb photography...excellent script...and a dynamite cast (probably Tony Curtis' best performance). And that's good ol' "King of the Voice Over Artists", the late great Paul Frees narrating the trailer! THANKS for posting this delightful gem for us! :)
You are a cookie full of arsenic, classic!

The trailer is better than the movie

Brilliant movie. I love Curtis' character, I noticed that nobody has any sympathies for him. Well, I do.

The version of the trailer on DVD doesn't have all the title cards, just the images.

Holy SHIT. Lancaster beat the crap out of Curtis there. Probably how a fight between them would've gone down in real life, haha.

Apparently a superb soundtrack; Hamilton and Bernstein.
