What is the point of this comparison? The 5010 is a powerhouse, 2710p is a lightweight in terms of computing power and hard drive speed. If you want a proper comparison, do one of the 2710p with the fujitsu t2010, those are closer to each other.

Beyond the idea that these computers have different hardware set ups, there really close enough to each other in boot time to not even matter...?

Actually no. It's because it uses a 4200RPM HDD.
