I have found that for my ears, I can't go any smaller than a 40mm driver.

As a musician for over 10 years, I find myself looking for the pair of cans most suited towards an audiophile.

Whether it be the shrill treble of a horror flick, or the smooth bass of a human's voice, I believe that only true circumaural 40mm+ headphones can accomplish the clarity that I require. (like the selections from sennheiser)

What do you guys think??

Yeah, I don't really get what you mean by "CORRECT" earbuds. Do you mean right silicone tip-size needed to achieve a proper seal? Then, yes, you are correct, that makes ALL the difference pretty much. They still don't sound as good as some equally-priced models, though. Such as the UE Super's. Or the Phillips SHE's or the Shure E2c's.

Well, actually, the Apple in-ear headphones were quite favorably rated by CNET. But I still don't see the point of buying these for $79 when I could get the much nicer Ultimate Ears Super. Fi 3 for $78. Thanks, Apple, for another rip-off! Come on, Macs for $1000+ when I could get a much better PC for less? The only good thing about Macs is OSX Leopard. But it's still not worth spending hundreds more for. The Macs are crap. The machines are slow but OSX is good. It's kind of weird.

On a PC, youre buying the software and hardware from diffrerent companies, like microsoft, delll, samsung etc. but on a mac its ONE company which is Apple, so the reliabilty is much better cause it is so much more neatly intergrated, you are also paying for the build quality and design
