  • I dont play guitar, but Im such a fan of Jorma's. I really enjoyed that.

  • Excelent video, thank you! Genesis was the first song I learned to fingerpick. It took me tens of ours to figure out how the song is played and how to get my thumb to do its own rhytmic part. Saw Jorma in Helsinki yesterday, he really is the master of acoustic fingerpincking style guitar and a great songwriter too. Saw him and Jack -92 and I think Jormas playing is even better now!

  • Oh, Papa John would be so proud. You are a true gentleman,Jorma. Not many players are so generous in sharing real insights such as these. Thank you, good sir.I cannot wait to put our own 30yr relationship to the test with a little table tappin"...

  • 2:50 rofl... that's why i stopped using finger picks! funny... so cool to see you on youtube

  • What a surprising nugget. I'm gonna start tapping tables before I bring my 12 string out of mothballs. Thanks! (That's Jorma teaching... I was just trying to see him play.)

  • What was the song at the beginning which is played in the background of the Jefferson Airplane homepage?

  • great interview with a great player/instructor - love that 'complete' sound - he always sounds great with Jack, but nothing is 'missing' in the solo performance - in fact, the solo performance might even be more impressive because he's got such a great groove going...'the ear wants to hear" - (mr. burns' voice) excellente!

  • I really like this video. As a Hot Tuna / Jorma fan since the first Hot Tuna vinyl album, I spent years trying to imitate a fraction of Jorma's playing style, having watched a few other Jorma videos. This is a great video that he backs up to the very start, and gives some background. I get some idea of how he does his magic, and he gives some solid advice. I think credit goes to the interviewer for asking the right questions.

  • great guitar player

    my favourite one

  • why are these videos always such crap quality

  • Jorma is a fantastic guitar player

  • @zoid52 - I saw him live in Munich Germany 1981- in a night club- the "kids" waiting in line - did not know who he was ? I had to tell them that J K - played lead guitar for the Headlining Rock Band at Woodstock (Jefferson Airplane) - those youngsters were just there to hear an American guitarman _WOW! I had a chance to chat with him then- & gave him a 2 LB bag of "Candy" and asked him to play Candyman for me ...another old Clifornia Boy ! He smiled ! and played !
