I misunderstood Chasizback's question. I see he was referring to the public hearing process for the project. Only Canadians can comment. However, even we don't have true consultation rights. We've seen our environmental review process watered down to the point where an industry-driven National Energy Board is in charge of the project review; the panel doesn't have a single BC citizen on it. So the only thing we can do is make a lot of noise - to that end even non-Canadians can be very helpful.
by all means you are welcome to comment chazisbak - in fact, as you will see below, you're comment has been successfully posted. Thank you for your concern! Please stay tuned for more videos and info on this important subject.
Can only canadians comment? I am from the UK and Im willing to, I just looked into it and the oil pipeline and following tankers have the potential to create a disaster bigger than exxon valdez. 1100 permanent jobs maybe created, but what of not only wildlife but the natives living in the areas the pipeline is said to go through? Also many fishermen may be effected by disruption of fishing grounds.. so more jobs may be lost than gained. But Great video please reply and let me know!
Poor thing was all alone:(
