They based their last album off of the incredible poem of Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe,

And this album is based on the divine comedy.

They mixed Annabel into this album so it wouldn't throw anyone off.

@HikagePain4Ever the final illusion also represents an endless circle because in dark wood of error he wakes up and goes through everything, then in the final illusion he wakes up to annbel dead, goes through the emptiness, dies, and wakes up in the forest, its a cycle, and brilliantly thought of.
