Before discarding the old plugs (as recommended in this video), the plugs should be visually inspected for proper burn. Are the plugs burning too hot? Too rich, too lean, or have oil residue . A spark plugs condition can tell you alot about your engine. It would take a trained mechanic or some one inclined to inspect the plugs.
@Zepold15 - Thank you for the note - great point and Bob brings it up on our full DVD series. The factory service manual has a great photo page to compare your plugs to see how they are burning.
type in "NGK Harley" in youtube search box........Champion makes Harley plugs. Just pull your plug from your hard to start lawnmower and compare. Just try a NGK Iridium you'll feel the difference. "NGK Harley"
Hi WalstromT - Thanks for the feedback, we decided on these DVDs to stick with HD plugs since we have had good performance from them and they offer a few options. HD does not own a refinery either but they have their own oil products. We try to point out products we have used over 20 years and had success with. I hope this helps. Any questions let us know info at fixmyhog. com
Looked like a torque wrench to me. I think ryeguy is probably the guy you were talking about that had a bad day at the spark plug factory, or maybe he's an aspiring film critic.

Thats my two cents

I highly doubt that HD actually make their own spark plug. They probably have their name put on a NGK, Champion, etc.

Thanks for viewing the clip. Mark has a torque wrench in his hand, not sure what you mean by your comment. Any questions let me know.

Why bother telling people to torque the plugs to the proper foot pounds when your mechanic doesn't even use a torque wrench....real pros
