  • He sounds like a rock singer here..

  • Wow, yound Pavarotti had such power and depth in his voice. Gorgeous!

  • Favorite, The Best, Greatest one!!!!

  • Incredible .. perfect vocale !

  • viva il microfono!

  • The sound is round and full. The voice seems ready to sing whatever you give it.

Unfortunately he did not perform some roles he could have left a mark on: Don Jose in Carmen, Alvaro in La Foza Del Destino, Werther, Maurizio in Adriana Lecouvreur. Some of these he cancelled just before going on air. It would've been nice if any of these efforts would have been at least recorded( I don't speak about individual arias and duets he recorded).Who knows, maybe DECCA has something in their archives....

  • @chaiter1 Not really important what he didn't sing... what he sang, he sang superbly.

  • @kingcorelli On that there is no argument.I hope there are some more gems hiding in the vaults of some recording company

  • In 1977, not in '79, and something more - Pavarotti sing this in every concert after the record of Turandot in 1972.

  • @TraVoiBelle 1979!!! ;)

  • @TheCaseyonline 4th Nov 1977, San Francisco ;)

  • @TraVoiBelle 23.4.76 .. I was at the show. It is my record ...

  • @TheCaseyonline Then why you said '79?

  • @TraVoiBelle You're crazy ?! Loof any more

  • @TheCaseyonline 1976*

  • Thank you for this- I was not even aware that he had sung this prior to his playing the role in 1979.

It is very good, isn't it?

An early Christmas present for all of us!
