Judging by some of the towns listed on the ticket, it's WBZ-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. But yes, local television stations help keep their FCC public interest obligations fulfilled by carrying these school closing tickers or lower thirds during programming to inform parents (and sometimes students too) of students that their schools may be closing early due to inclement weather.

People criticise the show for going Barrett-Jackson, but the show's prizes are going "back to the Cullen days" and that's not a bad thing. Barrett-Jackson type cars, restomods, and cars whose value only increase are a good thing.

But the moral of the this lesson kids please when you wear a shirt that says "I <3(Heart) Rich Fields" really mean what you say and dont say "You wore it just to get Picked on The Price Is Right". lol
