I remember PWI having 911/Big Al throwing up a challenge to Giant. I know those articles were just made up by Bill Apter, but I got a laugh at watching Big Al get destroyed like a jobber here. Of course, the dumbfuck ECW fans back in the day acted like 911 was some awesome wrestler, then you see him against a real giant in a major organization and you realize how low rent 911 was. Did 911 even wrestle again after this squash>?
@criceto Right I know size isnt everything but this guy isnt just big hes a monster and i would think his stregth and size would be hard for a lot of fighter to handle.
@Necrocide187 Yeah,he came in and basically left pretty much.I use to find this wcw era to be really good, then all of a sudden it change to major crap, when all of a sudden Double J went into NWO.
The commentators sometimes usally spell out the truth occasionaly. At the time of the video Big show was said to be 444 pounds. IN the WWE he is closer to his billed 500 pound weight. Oh ... and he's 6'11 and a half. not 7'4
List of tallest ever wrestlers (Famous Names) Paul Bunyan (7'7"), Giant Gonzalez- 7' 6.5'' Andre The Giant- 7' 4" (before back surgery. Later he was 7'0") Reese (Reis) a.k.a Yeti, Giant Silva- 7'2'' Great Khali-7'1'' Giant (Big Show), Kane-7'0'' Giant Haystacks, Kevin Nash, Nathan Jones-6'11'' Giant Baba-6'10.5" Undertaker, Matt Morgan, Big John Studd, Kurrgan etc -6'10" Psycho Sid, One Man Gang, Mabel, Brian Lee, Black Jack Mulligan etc-6'9" Abyss, Harris Brothers, Lance Hoyt etc-6'8"
@SrikanthDileep Lot of your readings you have gotten i think from the "show" of wrestling. Andre The Giant was in reality 6'10" . .... you can find that anywhere online but he was definatly billed as 7'4". and Giant Gonzales (R.I.P.) is listed in the Guiness World Records as the tellest professional wrestler ever. Just like hulk hogan was billed 6"7" or 6'8" but reality says hes 6'4" They like to "BEEF" up the wrestlers for the show
@milkskitmaker No im sorry he has passed on. You can look it up. He died just this past September 2010. Just another pro wrestler that has joined the list of an incredible list of pro wrestling casualties
@cavemac1@81carlos wow i just saw that giant gonzalez passed. thats a shame. i think if he came back when raw went old school that ould have gotten more revenue
I'm in agreement, with the other posters here. Always seemed, like guys such as; roadblock, t.rantula, 911, & rick fuller, got the proverbial "shaft" in my opinion. However, you look at these guys, out on the indy circuit and there dominating BIGTIME. And even holding, some form of championship gold, around there waist. So i have to go on record, in saying these unfortunate "big men", never got there proper "pushes" while in WCW. If it were handled differently, they could have made a real impact

Talking about awsome wrestling entrances, Giants entrance as a babyface in 1997 with no music and the mysterious green light was awsome. He was super over in '97 and got the biggest pops when he was on Nitro
@cwisy100 That's right. This was his second year wrestling. He was able to do drop kicks, did moves off the top rope and was much more athletic at this point. He won the World title in his first match against none other than Hulk Hogan himself and regained it from the legendary Ric Flair. These were his peak years.
@81carlos wow i just saw that giant gonzalez passed. thats a shame. i think if he came back when raw went old school that ould have gotten more revenue
@K4nCzY First off Paul Wight, was NEVER 7'4. Unfortunatley, WCW loved to over "emphasize" there talent's stats. They were billing him, over 500lbs at one point in his career with them. And even then, i knew that was ridiculous, because for one thing he never looked that heavy, while he was there. Plus, he was at his heaviest in WWE, when he was dawning a full beard, and tagging with Kane for a while. I would put him even then, around 500lbs. But certainly NOT 7'4 inches tall, more like 7'0 even.
@tomtalker2000 I guess the main reason of him being billed at 7'4" was because of the whole storyline of him being "Andre the Giant's son" WCW used to introduce him to the wrestling world, but back then he looked that he clearly had some good 3 inches on Kevin Nash, and considering Nash is about 6'10" then Big Show could have been 7'1" at the time
WCW made ALOT of old ECW wrestlers except The Triple Threat look like shit next to ALOT of thier Wrestlers. Why do you think ECW Originals who went to WCW came running back like Raven, The Sandman, Stevie Richards, and countless others
true but let's be honest here, 911 was never really that good to begin and was only hyped up thanks to how well Heyman booked him, Big Show here even at this point was a better wrestler than 911
hair? LOL

This show was in Philly and that is why WCW used 911 (BIG AL) from ECW against The Giant.

It's pretty easy to dominate on the indy circuit. The big leagues are totally different.

He was billed at 7 feet 4 ". How do you not mark for someone that big... look at fucking Khali, he's a disaster, and he gets huge pops.

Khali gets huge pops? I recall at a PPV in Baltimore that my boy was at and he mentioned that the crowed was chanting, "You can't wrestle!"

Have you been watching SD! lately? He's turned face, and he gets quite loud pops every time he comes out. Sad.
