  • Slavery in the bible is not what it was in the 1800's!

Modern slavery didn't start until a black man in the USA sued his servant(who was black) to keep him in slavery. Very bad men agreed with him and granted his request! YES slaves did have the rights to sue their masters until that point when they become property by law(man's law)! This did contradict servitude as defined in the bible.Slaves and masters in history sued each other! A slave until that point generally had rights of a citizen.

  • I don't think your view of the bible is correct. I think bible is very metaphorical and most people take the words too literaly. If you do, then you find many obvious contradictions that can't be ignored and as was said if you ignore them you are lying to yourself.

  • @matejluptak

The bible is the truth! I converted after entering the sciences!

I even had to remove the political correct brain washing that I was feed though school.

You want lies! Sit in a class room! Revisionist history, revisionist science! They don't stop!

  • MAKE MORE! :D

  • @soberauer if one actually reads the bible you would understand that yes, even though Darwinism and creationism have conflicting ideologies, one will discover that your salvation isn't based on that. It is based on believing that Jesus was real, and trying to be a good person, just like He is! Also, what you define to be a miracle is also in the bible, because Jesus defied the laws of nature, he walked on water, resurrected the dead, and even had an amputee walk! ^_^

  • Not quite sure how saving 2,500 children is a miracle. 20,000 deaths every day are hunger related... is that the opposite of a miracle? Is God not powerful enough to save them?

If you open your mind, you'll realize that the so-called "trivial" problems in the bible, are actually not so trivial. They negate the entire authenticity of the bible.

When you find yourself ignoring the problems in the bible, or making excuses for them... you know you're not being honest with yourself.

  • You make a lot of good points! Nice earrings btw.
