  • I want his voice!

  • omg its wowcrendor! i clicked on this thinking itd be funny but had no idea it was crendor <3

  • So true

  • lol I liked this video about 4 seconds after clicking it.

  • If they'd make the auto tune themselves than sang, maybe I'd give them credit.

  • crendor is the shyt

  • Just like alcohol ...a little is o.k. , too much and you have trouble....autotune a line or two and you'll be o.k. autotune the whole fucking song , and all the songs after that one and you....wait a minute ...you just became a member of the Black Eyed Peas congratulations !!!!

  • talking about artists what about Damien hirst? an other artists who got other people to make their paintings or what ever but with their name on it hahaha

  • Auto-tune can be used for artistic purposes... or are there other forms of voice editing that I'm thinking about?

  • But what about Obama singing to the Shawties?

  • for christ sake friking adverts keep playing in the background

  • 23 people are Lil-Wayne fans.

  • The only people in the world allowed to use Auto-Tune is the Gregory Brothers. Nuff said.

  • Sometimes auto-tune is used for creative reasons, to create effects and such. And some artists are doing it good.

  • The worst part is that many people do not know that music is auto-tuned. Like Rihanna, most people I have been speaking to, had no idea.

  • @UnlimitedHeaven Agreed....the worst part is that we make these artists (and their labels and like a zillion more people in the process) rich by buying their music...but we really suck at demanding quality.....there are a lot of rappers and I mean a lot , who should not be calling themselves "artists" and so are the singers that use playback as standard procedure for their shows (cough, cough , Brittney). We are willing to give our hard earned money to a bunch of cheaters...

  • t-pain u suck

  • If steroids are illegal to athletics, then why isn't auto-tune illegal to singers?

  • I wish he autotuned this video, for the irony. !

  • so true

  • David Hasselhof needs to use auto-tune more often. He sucks as a singer.

  • the lexis ad made the video look like a rainbow D:

  • ''people that are actually good at singing should get more credit for not using a computer'' Yeah, that's what i think about dubstep and all kind of techno music.

  • -.- they used to JUST use autotuning for when people accidentialy sung one note wrong in a song, but after that jackass that made it so popular (you know who)

  • I'm actually okay with autotune if the person is just trying to make cool sound/voice effects with it. It's when they try and fix their voice to sound better is where I have a problem.

  • Actually, T-Pain, writes really good lyrics, but can't sing so he uses auto tune. At least he can write good lyrics and use auto tune. Other people are stupid and just think of one thing and repeat the whole song with auto tune and it gets annoying.

  • @ndb751 T-pain actually has a really good singing voice. A star-quality singing voice, he just liked the sound of auto tune so he used it. There are videos floating around of him doing live shows without auto tune, look for them. They actually don't sound bad at all.

  • Auto tunes r for fags!!

Who wants to go back to da 50's where ppl r badass or da 80's ^-^. Fuck the generation we have -:o

  • T-Pain

  • 0:43 Was that supposed to be Britney Spears? xD

  • One of the only truth rages I disagree with. Music is about what sounds good, it's not a talent show. If you want a talent show, go to someone trying to show off their talents. Musicians make music that they enjoy or (for the mainstream artists) what will make their record label money. They aren't trying to be someone like steve vai and show off their "amazing" talent.

  • @CantStopTheBox music used to be only about talents you moron, and it was just as great a thing back then as it is now, the only difference is now no talents low lives make money for using technology. If they had invented the auto tune, fine, but they didn't, so they are a Complete waste to society as a whole!

imo, fuck auto tunes and everyone using it.

  • @toxicitzi No, music was never "only about talents". It was about sounding good. People played what they thought sounded good. Just look at a lot of 60s bands, it's not hard to play any of the stuff they wrote, so you can scratch off talent there. And many of the 60s bands singers had pretty terrible singing voices, it just went well with the music.

Moral of the story: Don't call someone a moron when you're obviously wrong, it just makes you look like a dick.

  • 22 people are Rebecca Black fans.

  • @ratam000 No such thing

  • It's even worse when they 'rap' with auto-tune...

  • This movie was made with a computer.

  • Autotune should be used for only 2 reasons. A. the original purpose of the program, to correct the occational out of tune note that is pretty much unavoidable human error, or B. to create an effect, although B. is not usually a very good reason.

  • @LeonusStawalker I agree with B, although after T-Pain started using it for effect, singers went crazy about it and use it almost non-stop anymore. If it's used for effect (T-Pain and Schmoyoho/Auto-tune the News come to mind), it's usually done really well. If it's to improve singing ability, artists need to start taking vocal lessons again.

  • I am not sure if I agree. Granted, autotuner's shouldn't get awards for their talent as a singer, but it is used to create catchy, enjoyable music. Can't we just acknowledge that it isn't completely real and still enjoy it?

  • /likes over 9000times

  • THANK YOU, CRENDOR!

  • wowcrendor?

  • What you are saying is not true. People how can't sing and auto-tune it sounds terible. You must know how to sing before you use auto-tune , it just changes your voice. What if you sing a sound perfectly but your voice dosen't sound good auto-tune helps you. Personaly I like listening to auto-tune voices because it sounds cool. Take DAft Punk , they are super good and sounds awsome but they change their voice (They use something else than auto-tune can't remember what) and they are talented.

  • What is this, auto-tune?

  • @Syndiicatee hahhhahahahahahahahaha

  • Without auto-tune, there wouldn't be dicks like Bieber!!!

  • Only time I like autotune is when people use it to make normal talking into songs; usually as an internet parody video.

  • the music notes r cute

  • Although imo the "symphonies of science" are an awesome use of auto-tune. Search them if you're interested in auto-tuned scientists "singing" xD...

  • 21 people like AutoTune! << See in this instance, this is TRUTH RAGE! Because at the beginning of the video you said "Thumbs Up if you hate auto-tune". So people put how they really feel. << Because usually people make up stuff like that.

  • I'm a musician. Auto-Tune isn't some silver bullet that makes bad singers good enough to get a record deal, and these days you'd be hard-pressed to find a singer who DOESN'T use it, even if it's not as blatant as T-Pain or Kanye. There's no shame in going back to fix a few small parts in a track to avoid having to throw it out, for instance. On the other hand, if you seriously can't carry a tune to save your life, Auto-Tune won't help you.

    /rant

  • @Digitbig thats because talent goes unnoticed and auto tune bubblegum babies with frosty hair or bling end up on MTV. Autotune may not be a magical silver bullet but it sure seems like it will load the gun and pull the trigger for you.

  • someone that needs more credit is John Lennon, if you listen to his "bootleg" tapes and compare it to the official recorded the talent is still there and not auto-tuned.There are many other artists that don't used auto-tune but are hated/not famouse for that.

  • So true.

  • lmao i love how the top comment has nothing to do with the video and yet its so funny

  • but then vocaloid wouldnt exist :(

  • I think that if used for more of an artistic purpose then autotune is great. Look at the Einstein vs. Hawking Epic Rap Battle of History, everything for Hawking is autotuned and it works perfectly for it's purpose in that video.

  • A good song sung by a bad singer that's then auto-tuned sits alright with me. The same as a bad song sung by a good singer is nice the first time you hear it but you never listen again. In a perfect world the good singers would find themselves with the good songwriters and composers but it doesn't happen that way.

  • *cough cough* Rebecca black

  • Yes! I agree 100%.

  • 0:42 wait a minute... isn't that Becky from your Driving Truth Rage?

  • Fucking auto correct I ment to type hell

  • I know auto tune sucks I was listening to eminems song (my mom) and all of a sudden i here a word auto tuned and I was like what the he'll was that!

  • oddly enough I like Auto tune, Ive never once heard anyone who uses it brag about being good at singing. All it does is make the music better, so where is the harm in that? =o

  • @dlj3cs2 It makes the music better??? HAHAHAHAHAHA.

  • @Michaelmop yeah... it puts them in tune, that's the point broski

  • @dlj3cs2 What a joke.

  • @Michaelmop oh well you convinced me, auto tune sure does make the songs worse because "its a joke." who cares if it makes the singer hit keys perfectly if its "a joke"?

  • @dlj3cs2 /watch?v=IBaXwRQQciI Start shutting the fuck up already. You watched a rant about auto-tune that shits on it big time and you're actualyl discussing your love for auto-tune here. You're a fucking idiot. Get some decent taste for music.

  • @Michaelmop you mad bro? all I did was post a comment about my opinion and you are arguing with me over the internet, which is possibly the most pointless thing ever.

  • @dlj3cs2 We are both arguing you dumb fuck. Go listen to your pathetic auto tune bullshit. Get lost kid.

  • @Michaelmop calling me a kid now? why are you so mad broski? all I did was say an opinion I'm not arguing.

  • @dlj3cs2 Omfg....

  • oddly enough I like Auto tune, Ive never once heard anyone who uses it brag about being good at singing. All it does is make the music better, so where is the harm in that? =o

  • ROBOT HELP HUMAN HUMAN THINK HE GOOD so TRUUUUUUUUEEEEE

  • agreed

  • I like old bands like AC/DC cause they didnt use stuff like that

  • Learn what auto-tune is. Its called auto-tune because it automatically tunes your voice. You had your retarded bold stick man edit the song... that is NOT auto-tune...

  • Crendor... Your art is just godly!

  • there should be a AUTO-TUNE FREE sticker on cd's like that explicit lyrics stamp. seeya

  • 20 ppl use auto tune

  • Goldie ''Crystal Clear''

    Fuck autotune -.-'

  • why is ti people on x factor the good ones sound better than 99% of the singers now but they never make any good songs?

i hate on x factor when they get there first song and the video is like there struggle to get there and shows there audition arghhh so gay someone just be cool for once

  • and then justin bieber was born...

  • T-Pain is the only guy who should be allowed to use auto-tune, because he makes it sound good

  • Imho if there's an audience that enjoys that genre of music (There's so many artists using auto tune these days i'd say its fair to call it a genre) Then there's nothing wrong with artists using it... It's not my cup of tea however if people like it then who am i or you to say "No this sucks GTFO"...?

  • The reason for this is because singers aren't chosen for their singing ability anymore. They're chosen because they're models who want to be singers and will sell records. Until the public stops buying those records, we have little right to complain.

  • Dude

  • Just because you don't like it FIRST!!!!!

  • Truthe Rage: WoW Private Servers

  • autotune is great for ytp (infomercials like shamwow lol)

  • Do you mean people who are *born* with better singing abilities *deserve* more credit? Fuck off. Oh, and I will listen to completely synthetic singing with great pleasure, it's rise is just around the corner.

  • @27182818284590452354 Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @WhiteandNerdy44 yeah just look at the faggots name, 27182818284590452354

  • @27182818284590452354 You are like the most pathetic excuse for a troll, and if you are serious (which i'm 99% sure that you're joking) then you are stupid. A person with a missing leg shouldn't be able to be a dancer. Like imagine if there was a leg that made you dance like a legend, and you took all the credit. It makes no sense. True Singing, Or Dubstep, but not both.

  • @Craziguy33 Starting with personal insults? Tsk-tsk. A person without legs should be able to a be a ballet dancer once we have the technology. Users of such tools should not take all the credit, and it's shameful if someone tries to hide that they use them, but why should their results be judged as less artful? Would you prefer a naturally good digger with bare hands or a cripple on a bulldozer? Hypocrite puritan douche, get lost.

  • @27182818284590452354 Suddenly this conversation is about deus ex? You can use "augmented body parts" even though just typing that feels hilarious xD. They can do work and I don't mind that. But if it's about art, and they don't control the new limb, that's when I have a problem. My issue with auto-tuning is that it replaces the need to have vocal cords, and there's plenty of other people who are just as skilled but aren't being noticed. Yeah, I'd want a naturally good digger btw. lol

  • @Craziguy33 Then go live in a cave, as everything that surrounds you is made by humans with tools that grant them power far beyond natural abilities. It's the human nature to surpass our biology, to break limits of our ape body. If anything, someone without lucky genes who sings on par with talented people deserves more recognition. I won't cry about those who can't compete while having an advantage.

  • @27182818284590452354 No they don't skill is skill. Skill can't be bought, just like happiness can't be bought. I can't understand your logic any way I look at it. You can't make burgers on conveyer belts and have them taste real, just like you can't have a computer make a song and have it sound real. Go listen to I guess that's why they call it the blues by elton john and you'll get what I mean. Art is art, art cannot be fabricated by those with no talent.

  • @Craziguy33 Skill and talent are two different things you know. The goal is not for burgers/songs to taste/sound "real", but to taste/sound *good* (even tho "real" can be achieved too). Art stopped trying to emulate nature over a century ago, music never truly did, it's synthetic to its core. Voice is an instrument, and simply having a good instrument doesn't make you a good artist. Most good singers are terrible writers and composers and incapable of art on their own.

  • @27182818284590452354 Right, but auto-tune has no skill or art, it has singing and composing in both, but the people who use it may sound good like on the radio, but in actual concerts, if their song is mostly auto-tuned, they look retarded because they can't even sing their "own" music. And don't even get me started on lip-syncing...

  • @Craziguy33 Yeah right, tell it to Miku Hatsune fans (not me, most jpop compels me to vomit). Autotune is just a tool -- like vocal cords -- and use of it can be as artful as of any other. I suspect if you or me would use it, the results won't impress anyone. Tools level the playing field, which is always great in pursuit for new heights. And no one shoves digitally enhanced voice down your ears, you won't get in jail for downloading Chaliapin, yet you dare to say what others should listen to.

  • @27182818284590452354 All i'm saying is, overusing auto-tune is not good if you plan to have concerts as a music artist. And I do agree that it can sound good IF USED PROPERLY, however many people these days have no idea what they're doing sometimes with auto-tune and instead of using it subtly to sound better, they over-use it in their song. I'm talking main-stream auto-tuning. I just hope dubstep doesn't go main-stream. Like rap did :(

  • @27182818284590452354 Craziguy is right, look at the superbowl halftime show last season.. the black eyed peas sounded like shit on stage. it just makes the artist look bad if they have to use auto tune to be talented. no ones saying they cant or shouldnt use it, but it really deceives fans when their music sounds good on the radio and then it sounds like complete shit live.

  • @27182818284590452354 How the hell do you remember your name when logging in?!

  • @WestfallChicken lol that account doesn't exist.

  • @WestfallChicken there yahoo account

  • @WestfallChicken saved in notepad / email adress ? :D

  • @WestfallChicken sprobaly the stay logged in button

  • @WestfallChicken It's his mothers maiden name

  • @WestfallChicken Digits of e :)

  • @WestfallChicken he copy and pastes his name!

  • @TheSkittso you're stupid...what if hes somewhere else, like some other country, on some other computer...and then he wants to log in ?

  • @WestfallChicken he copy's it and put it into microsoft office word and save the document ;)

  • @27182818284590452354 People aren't born with singing abilities, they learn them. Why do you think some music teachers teach people how to sing?

  • 19 people like Justin Bieber, and other auto-tuners

Fortunatly the 954 others dont :)

  • That's why I don't listen to auto tune music...I don't think (<<noob)

  • your drawings are pretty

  • @d3ly51d nope.avi

  • nah man its worse when a person uses auto tune and then complains that there shit gets torrented, its like woooooooooow

  • 99% of all songs on the radio are auto-tuned. Everything from country to rock to hip hop... but like someone said, maybe it's the lyrics and the message that's more important than a particular artist's skill. Does it really matter if everyone is autotuned? Music isn't a talent contest, it's just entertainment.

  • @Bhorzo I absolutely agree. Autotune is used in most music to enhance the vocal performance (even if it is great already) and to make it sound nice and there is nothing wrong with that. It's all about the end product and not the way you get there. People used to talk about electric instruments the same way and imagine todays music without those. Also, people know about autotune and they know some people use it because they can't sing, but if the track is still good they will buy the record.

  • If you write your own songs and the lyrics are good, why not?

  • You should make a Truth Rage about youtube uploader's that put "thumbs up if you _____" in there videos. Because it's fucking stupid.

  • @kornickronic Thumbs if you agree!

    Wait, crap.

  • Only person who should be allowed to use auto-tune: T-pain.

  • I think the tool has made singers lazy in alot of ways. Some people are naturally talented, but most everyone else has to work hard to become a good singer. Why work hard when you can just have auto-tune fix it later?

  • Adele dont use auto tune

  • You sir, are my hero!

  • You sir, are a genious

  • its only okay if you use it for auto tune the news

  • I sort of want to make a music video now

I never sung before though, and am rly quiet.

But I bet auto tune can make me a star

  • Lol watching this made me wish you'd do a limewire truth rage. Mostly because of the end where you said how the singer should get more credit for their voice.

  • 17 people got auto-tuned

  • DAT BULL SCHIT!!!

  • @AlexxxTV Bullshit.

  • @AlexxxTV totaly not lol that the point of auto tune ( the more you sing badly the more the auto tune will actualy be noticable) and there is no argue whit it that the truth

  • @htklsl that's*****

  • Auto correct ruined good music

  • @AlexxxTV Yes but no one will agree with you except me because that is the sad world we live in.

  • Totally true. you suck Kanye West

  • I don't really mind if someone uses auto-tune. If I like the song, I like it.

  • So, Rebecca...

  • I love these I laugh my ass off every time I watch these because its so true. xD Keep them coming!!!!

  • Tha-yu

  • Crendor, what has happened? Your truth rages used to be hilarious, and to the point simultaniously, but now its not really comedic anymore, even if it gets to the point.

  • @noobistproductions I have to disagree. This is one of my favorite truth rages of his.

  • @TenSecondsFlat10 i know not everyone agrees with me probably, im just pointing out my personal opinion.

  • I like Ven Diagrams.

  • @CrendorlRL fail troll is fail

  • Thats how Rebecca got so in-famous...

  • @truemario8989 No, she got famous because she's terrible and it was lulzy.

  • @truemario8989 no one could sound that bad on auto tune....

  • @truemario8989 actually they didn't use auto-tune, They edited her voice. Auto-tune and editing is different.

  • @KelanX Huh, can you tell me the difference? I dont really know xD

  • @truemario8989 Auto-tune is when someone sings (shitly) into a microphone which you shove in your mouth. It is kind of gay... and then it auto-tunes your voice. Hence the name

  • @truemario8989 Thing is... Black didn't auto-tune. There's a video of her singing live... It sounds the same as the official music video.

  • @Frankthegb Yeah, the recording studio said that they did indeed use auto-tuning but only 'a little'. She then falls into that category for corrupting natural talent because she can actually sing but they decide to edit her voice a little in post production.

The fact is that Rebecca Black is capable of singing some good songs but she's thrown into very badly written stuff and then auto tune is applied when it isn't needed. She's not let down by her own talent at all.

  • One legitimate use is when it's used in parodies, like 'i'm on a boat'.

  • @d3ly51d Let's say I'm not on a boat...

  • @d3ly51d thats not a parody its an original song

  • @CriminalIntent89 It's a parody of a popular trend in music.

  • @d3ly51d no its not why would it be a parody if t-pain, the guy that uses autotune in EVERY song is on it

  • @CriminalIntent89 maybe he parodies himself? :p

  • @d3ly51d That's just making up excuses, but sure, if you think that it's your opinion.

  • @d3ly51d Or like in "Autotunage" from Limp Bizkit

  • @d3ly51d Or in "Auto-Tune the News" by the Gregory Brothers.

  • i. hate. auto-tune.

  • Autotune wasn't originally invented for that purpose, if I remember it correctly it was originally used to make that unusual singing noise in Cher's one hit wonder attempt at reinvention

  • @Annapodj it was invented for that purpose but then some people ended up using it for whole songs, one of the most famouse auto tune users is T-pain he was one of the first who actually used it to make songs
