It's not a direct translation, the subtitles are just the essence of what's being said. Try watching english movies with subtitles for hearing disabled, you'll see that the subtitles are usually alot more condensed than what's actually being said. This is because reading is slower than talking for many people. Hope this makes sence :)

You're wrong! While it is true that many in the USA only speak one language, we really do wish that THEY WOULD LEARN ENGLISH AS WELL! 30% of the USA does NOT speak English as a first language. For my wife, it's her third language. For me, it's my 1st out of 5 spoken.

Remember,Denmark has what 5.5 Million people? You can drive across Europe in a day OR two. Many mono-linguists you refer to live more than 1500km from the next country, the northern one is English speaking.

Perhaps the uploader should have mentioned that this show is the Danish equivalent to something like "The David Letterman Show" or "The Tonight Show"; it's nowhere near a serious program. The premise of the interview is Halloween. I personally think it's an alright interview nonetheless, as the interviewer actually ask him more or less what he think of Bush. He also let King rage on about religion (KD is Ace here) -so he does ask some good questions IMO.
