  • that was 38 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

  • Sorry, but the banter between you and Mentor397 absolutely entertained me. Definitely checking this movie out. I would strongly suggest an animation program like "Cinema 4D" if you intend to put out any more cg videos. First thought that crossed my mind when i viewed the preview was video game, not cgfm. it's relatively easy to use, has plenty of versatile options like scenery creation and prop manipulation, as well as the fact that you can acquire beginner lessons on how to utilize the tools.

  • Everything on the internet is a major issue. Without emoticons our civilization would collapse upon itself.

  • A) This has nothing to do with the Star Trek Monty Python Video

    B) Whoever wrote the dialog for this preview needs to graduate fourth grade.

    C) Whoever thought that making an entire CGI movie without the benefit of good software should be fired. The ships look stupid, the characters look stupid, and their weapons look stupid. Did I miss something?

Oh yeah, D) No Borg in the Borg War preview!

  • @mentor397

Plenty of time on your hands today?

  • @kephren1 Not at all. 37 seconds, plus perhaps another minute to write the comment. Far less time than it took to make this steaming pile, I'm sure.

  • @mentor397

You're entitled to your opinion, of course. Of course, in addition to being nominated for a machinima award, Borg War was positively reviewed in Star Trek magazine and was also the first non-parody Star Trek fan film to be shown at an officially-sanctioned conference. All things considered, I'd rather have that kind of positive reaction from respectable source than have the good opinion of some coach potato wanker who's never done anything but bitch about other people's work..

  • @kephren1 Never done anything? HAHAHAHA, you're amusing. But then, I suppose I haven't made up awards and commendations for regular events for the things I do. I knew you were self-aggrandizing when you attached your video to a far more popular one in order to get more attention. Calling me names only proves my point.

  • @mentor397

Whatever. I'm sure your cute little parody appeals to certain people of low intelligence. On the other hand I made a feature-length movie that got the attention of CBS and won critical acclaim. You can say I made it up, but it's true. In any case, whatever you've done, you're still a jackass. So I linked to you video because it was Star Trek themed. What of it? What's the big deal? The only person who gives a crap is you.

  • @kephren1 CBS now? And it's only got 9700 views? In Four Years? Next you'll be telling me you were offered an ambassadorship from the King of America for your fine work!

P.s. Not my parody, but good that you noticed that there are millions of views for that video and 9769 for yours. They may all have low intelligence, but you're the one who linked your video to get their attention. Still name calling I see. I figured with your fame you'd be above that.

  • @mentor397

Uh... yeah, the preview of one episode on YouTube has that many views. Total number of episodes downloaded from all sources, including DVD sales and complete movie downloads is around 4.3 million views. It's the arguably most popular Star Trek fan film ever made.

  • @kephren1 And yet you still feel the need to promote it to people of uh, how did you put it? "certain people of low intelligence.", and attack anyone who says differently. You'd think someone so successful would be more assured of their status, if it were real.

  • Why, exactly, do you care? I mean, I have a reason to care about Borg War. But what do you do with your time? Troll around making weird comments just because somebody posted a (possibly) off-topic response to somebody else's video? I mean, do you have a life? You're not even savvy enough to check the date of the video response. 4 years ago, when Episode 5 came out. The big number happened after the entire movie was released, of course. Get a clue.

  • @kephren1 Amazing how much you seem to know about me because of my comments on this one video. I respond merely because you do. It's your fault you can't take criticism and must call it... "weird". Oh, I have looked at the date on the video response. That's the whole point. Less than a thousand hits would be understandable if this were a recent clip, but you're talking about the "greatest fan movie" ever made and the preview hasn't been seen by anyone.

  • @mentor397

Yes, you are correct. The previews were not particularly effective as a promotional vehicle for the movie, nor did YouTube end up being the primary method of distribution. The main way people have viewed the movie is by downloading the entire thing from the website, Rapidshare or as a torrent. Because it's a FEATURE LENGTH MOVIE. Go to the website, check out the links, read the Businessweek review where the writer said it was a better than Nemesis. Then go troll somewhere else.

  • @kephren1 Criticism is not trolling. Notice it says "Comments" in this section, not "Jubilant Praise" or "Gratuitous Worship". Again, you're the one name calling. However, if you're so offended, report me. I stand by my original post.

  • @mentor397

Tell you what. Email me (in Youtube) your snail mail address and I'll send you a DVD. Watch the movie (or at least give it a decent try) and attempt to overlook the crudeness of the execution, which is an artifact of the fact it was made by one person using $200 worth of software and two medium powered computers. And, no, I'm not offended, just a bit irritated that you seized on a bit of misplaced promotion and raised it as a major issue.

  • Dull dull dull - a waste of time.

  • A 37 second preview is dull? Gee, you must have a wicked bad case of ADD.

  • erm........ and this has what, exactly, to do with the MP vid? You'd be better off promoting this on its own merits (if it has any) than trying to fly on the back of something else like an irritating parasite.

    Disappointed.

  • just flag it as spam

  • "Otherwise you will not live to see the next day"? What kind of writing is that? Come on! How is this a video response to that Trek/Python vid? Shameless self-promotion. That's all it is.

  • yep

  • Your so right. This is stupid.

  • I agree.

  • Agreed! So lame!

  • I agree, too!

  • gay

  • get it away. has to do with monty python. you destroy everything

  • can I lower then one star stupid

  • koolies
