  • Such a shame they gelded Presious Passion. Very good looking, talented horse, great pedigree. What a waste!

  • Was this not a month after he finished 3rd to Sea The Stars in the Arc?. Just makes you think what STS could have done at Santa Anita in either the Turf, or Classic. 2008 as well with Zarkava. I was happy for Conduit he certainly deserved everything he accomplished

  • Precious Passion's performance was super courageous, but the jockey should have been suspended for slaughtering his chances with a suicide ride like that. With a decent jockey on its back it could be anything.

  • @SvendBosanvovski Watch the 2009 UN and you'll see that this was not a suicide ride, this was pure Presious Passion. He opened up 20 in the United Nations and set fast fractions very similar to this and still had enough to hold off a fast closing german bred whose name I cant spell He always goes to the lead and the more he opens up the better chance he has. This is his running style and this is how he does things.

  • I was looking back on Conduit's lifetime race record, and saw that he actually raced on the all-weather in the UK 3 different times in his career. He actually broke his maiden on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. Finished 3rd in a handicap at Kempton, and won again at Wolverhampton. Since he could handle the surface, I wonder why they never entered him in the Classic on the pro-ride? Especially since Sir Michael Stoute also had Spanish Moon in this B.C. Turf with a legit chance to win?

  • Boy, did the 2010 Breeders Cup Turf ever miss having horses of this class. Conduit a G1 St. Leger, G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner, and 2-time B.C. Turf winner. Dar Re Mi a G1 Sheema Classic and G1 Yorkshire Oaks winner, Spanish Moon a G1 Grand Prix De Saint-Cloud winner, G2 Prix Foy winner, and a 2nd, beaten a nose in the G1 Hong Kong Vase. We had a handicapper in Dangerous Midge win the 2010 running, then finished dead last of 16 in the 2011 Sheema Classic. What a joke!!

  • I just wish Precious Passion would've won

  • I think they will not run if workforce is engaged in the race, he alone will be enough to win the cup !!!!!! lol, no interest for 3 horses have the same owner.

  • I'm really disappointed that we won't get another chance to see the great-race, Dar Re Mi, in the 2010 Breeders Cup Turf. The daughter of Singspiel was just recently retired. With the 2010 Coral-Eclipse having been her last actual race. She was entered in the 2010 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. But was scratched with hoof problems. But she did get her crowning jewel in 2010. Winning the 2010 Dubai Sheema Classic. Beating many of the best turf males and females in the world.

  • My cousin hit this super straight for $200. When Precious Passion ran the first 6 panels in 1:09.24, I thought there was no way he'd hang on for second. A couple of my uncles and I were with him, you would have thought we all hit this thing when they crossed the finish. We were going crazy. One of the great memories racing has given me.

  • I give him credit for the toughness he showed in this race. But I think likely somewhere between this race, and what we saw out of him in the 2010 Sheema Classic is really more along the lines of how good Presious Passion really is. This race, in all honesty, should've ended a Conduit, Dar Re Mi, Spanish Moon tri-fecta if Presious Passion hadn't ran over his head in this race. JMO.

  • Very bad race for Presious Passion in the sheema classic.

  • as expected the U.S. horse on the grass outside their countries are goats lol! look at the duty free, three horses have an easy race especially courageout cat there are not even ends in 3 first!! and then precious passion as expected on small tracks sometimes it works against the bad horses but abroad against the best thoroughbreds in the world is impossible

  • Seriously, At one time in this race, Presious Passion was 20 lengths ahead of Conduit. If he really was the class of turf horse that a Conduit or a Gio Ponti is, he should have won this race easily with that kind of lead. JMO.

  • @GBeret83 He's not anywhere near the class of a Conduit. Yet he dug in like a sonofagun when that far better horse came at him. He's an unrateable speedball some stick to him, and when he's right, a hell of a lot of fight. It's what makes him so much fun and so easy to root for.

  • What good does it really do a horse like Presious Passion to fly out to a 15 or 20 length lead in a race that you know has strong closers, as this one did, if by the top of the stretch the rest of the field is cantering all over you?

  • I keep up with the American horses and the European horses both, and on turf, I can tell you, the Euro horses are better. Conduit is a tough beat for any horse on turf, and was the class of this field. I'd also bet that in 7 out of 10 races on turf, both Spanish Moon and Dar Re Mi would beat Pressious Passion. He's a 50-50 horse. If the right P.P. shows up, he wins. But lately he's ran himself right out of every race he's been in with that ridiculous gotta lead by 20 lengths style of his.

  • Hats off to Ryan Moore for a great ride getting Conduit home.

  • I got to see this race befor i say any thing

  • Postcard, just so you know it's not HOT that tiem of year moron.

  • in Europe

  • I would like to see PP he can does great race.

  • Precious Passion is a very good horse but he lost fair and square again one the greatest horse in Europe.

  • PP is such a great horse, he ran suicidal fractions and still managed to rally for a very game second to one of Britain's best horses. I really hope PP keeps going, because I think he is a really great horse.

  • PP is such a great horse??Where?at the stable?Certainly no more than a very good horse on the track. Can you name one world class race that PP has won?A lovely genuine horse who gives his all maybe -but even Conduit would not make the greatest 100 horses. You sound like you have that American disease called overstatement, which if not treated can become a much worse affliction called Verbal Diarrhea

  • Okay...what did I do to make you so mad. O and just to lt you know I'm not American, I'm Canadian. I wasn't trying to get into an arguement, but I find when ever i say something good about horses over here in America or Canada, The euro's don't seem to be to respectful, Europe has really great horses though, some of the worlds best! But please, don't be disrespectful like that. PP is a great horse.

  • GI United Nations Stakes twice, GI Clement Hirsch Turf Classic once, how about that?

You sound like you have a European disease called arrogance.

  • Never heard of either of them!

  • Of course you haven't. Just like the majority of American fans will have never heard of the St-Leger or the King George.

  • Many more people have heard of the St Leger or King George than the United Nations and Turf Classic, and I'm not American or English

  • Hi,I am not angry with you.Just giving an opinion.I hope you have a great Christmas!I think we have been spoiled in Europe for good horses recently so we are more careful with our adjectives.American racing will never get respect from European racegoers (broadly speaking)until it bans all the drugs, which enhance performance. Then we would really understand merit

  • Alright, you have a good point, i din it great to talk about horse racing though, nobody i know wants to talk about it. O and marry Christmas to you as well.

  • I Agree , His Heart Is As Big As Him Self

  • Old Trevor Denman loves to use that "scraping the paint" paraphrase, doesn't he?

  • Sea The Stars would have DEVASTATED that field!

  • look at 2.08 wtf is that ?

  • conduit almost fell

  • Conduıt won a shade cosily in the end.Remember he won a group one over 15 furlongs as a three year old.The Americans can't train grass horses.Conduit came from cold old Britain to hot old California on a twelve hour flight and still beat the Yanks on their own territory.

  • I find That you guys are very rude

  • I agree-they are

  • this straight is so short , conduit needs the chelthenham hill to get going lol

  • I love Pressious Passion, he is amazing.

In my heart, he is the winner! But great win by Conduit, he is amazing too.

  • Congrats to Conduit, but I must say that Presious Passions performance was out of this world! Remember this is a 12 furlong race and this hombre went out an cut fractions of 23 flat, 45 flat,1:09 1/5,1:34d 2/5,and the final time was 2:23 3/5! 99.9 % of the horses in the world would have went flat like a cheap tire at the head of the stretch after running at that sprint style pace. Yet PP was headed by conduit, and he came right back at him. I was very of the American Presious Passion, very proud!!

  • Probably pressed his style a bit much but nevertheless came right back in the stretch with a ton. It took all Conduit could do to pass that horse. Another day we might see a different outcome. The horse was fresh and ready, cudos to the connections for that. Nothing to be ashamed about with that performance. What a horse!!

  • Congrats to Conduit, jockey Ryan Moore and the man himself a top-class trainer like Sir Michael Stoute :-) Conduit and Moore ran a smart race.

  • Dar Re Mi wouldn't ave won even with what happend, Condit beat her in France. Conduit could only finish 4th there though, shows how great a colt Sea The Stars is.

  • Da Re Mi should've won this

  • No Chance She Wasn't Good Enough Im Sorry

  • The supposed world championships of horse racing can only only muster 7 horses for $500,000 race. There is something wrong somewhere?

  • PP was indeed very game but why run him over this trip when he doesn't really get it and surely has the pace for 1m 2f?

  • PP ran well, but beaten by the superior animal.

Took a knee chip for an american to beat the Euro turf horses on their surafce, that's superiority for you.

  • What a courageous horse is Presious Passion!!

  • Presious Passion has nothing to hang his head about. He showed heart down stretch & battled a very tough horse in Conduit.I still love his style & excitement he brings to horseracing.Hopefully he continues racing next year. His courage was second to none on the biggest stage in racing for turf.I just wish that he slowed a bit in the beginning & gradually built his lead but I know thats not his style.Great effort anyway PP we will always cheer for you & love you.

  • Shoot, Presious Passion was so close to holding on! Most courageous performance of the Breeder's Cup anyway.

  • I picked Conduit in this race. I thought he would repeat as turf champion. I've never been a big fan of Presious Passion, because of the way he breaks out so far ahead and run's ridiculous fraction's for such a long race, but I will have to say that he showed alot of heart fighting it out with Conduit in the stretch. I thought he would tire and end up being passed by Dar Re Mi and Spanish Moon as well. Prop's to Presious Passion, I have alot more respect for him now.

  • come on CONDUIT !! You is the best ! Breeders' Cup Turf 2008-Breeders' Cup Turf 2009 !
