This is incredible. I've just got Groove Essentials and I haven't started on it yet. I just wanted to see how people have handled it. This is so natural and your kit is superb. But could I ask a question? The percussion to the right of your kit is just the sort of thing I've been looking for, could you tell me the name/brand or so. Thanks a lot!
Wow. So tasteful and smooth. I can tell you've got great chops with your hands, bass and hat, but I like how you held back a bit to fit into the music. That takes confidence and restraint. Good rehearsing on the stop and go's too.
Lovely drumming. Really enjoyable to watch. I've been working with Tommy's Groove Essentials 1 for some time. Is it worth getting 2.0 on top of that? Excellent work, anyway.
@MrJonnyNitro Thank you for your comment! It is definitely worth getting the second one as well if you want to take your playing to another level. But I'm sure when you done with the first one, it won't be a question anymore. Good luck!
Holy Crap dude this is Amazing i like how you didn't over play anything and you just stayed in the pocket. you really grabbed the whole concept of groove essentials great joob and great musicallity keep it up :D
If this was only a funk tune with a different sounding bass, I probably would have played rimshots on the snare, but because there is a samba feel to it and this tune has a soft touch, my concept was not only to accent 2 and 4 but to make the groove melodic staying on the softer side with it.
Thank you for your comment. The cymbals I'm using are Sabian HHX Legacy, and HHX Evolution cymbals. They are both Dave Weckl signature cymbals. 14" hi-hat, 17" effeks, 18" crash, 10" splash, 20" ride, 21"dry ride.
@sundimond9252 Depends on what type of mics you are using, the environment, and the way you tune your drums. I like to hear my drums sound as natural as possible, and very close to the way it sounds acoustically.
This is very good and if you notice the drummer must have practiced this a lot because it is fine-tuned. I do a lot of improvisation and anyone could play it somewhat differently and still be on beat and not be wrong. Drumming in music is less about what is wrong and more about just doing it and learning as you play and by listening and feeling.
Awesome! :-)

@stergios29 This is a Yamaha Oak Custom drumset. I'm using Remo Emperor heads, and I put some time into tuning to get the best sound out of it.

Amazing man!
This is really what's called groovy!
Maybe it's normal, but I was really amazed by your left hand grip. How you can so easily steer it and can still hit so powerful. Really amazing man!

Good job, do you not use a rimshot on the snare drum? This is the smallest tom tom 8 "?
Where can I download these tracks without the drums, which you use in the video?
