@MrChow9 Most of Tarantino's films are in some way a pastiche/homage to other films. Just like Inglorious basterds was a war movie about other war movies, so the character Pai Mei, and much of Kill Bill, is his nod to old kung fu films and their characters, in fact, Pai Mei is lifted entirely from old Hong Kong films like Executioners from Shaolin. It's hardly supposed to be life-like or an accurate portrayal of any racial group; it's cinema about cinema.

Interesting background info, SQNBM. I wonder, where does the White Lotus Clan sect originate? There seems to be alot of mythology surrounding the sect, including old Chinese tales of sorcery practice & other generally cultist behavior. This does not seem to correlate well with the martial record.

@pranakhan The character Pai Mei was originally in the movie Executioners from Shaolin, Abbot of Shaolin and Clan of the White Lotus (doing the same moves and behaving the same I may add). The original name is Pak Mei and in the movie the White Lotus Clan was a of the Wudang or Wu Tang, originating form the Wudang Mountains. They were hired by the government to hunt down the Shaolin. Ther was a historical Bak Mei, whom the character Pak Mei/Pai Mei is based on. You can research him.
