  • can i replace the battery?? I mean, for a normal battery??

Because from what i can see, it looks like it uses one normal aaa battery, i`m wrong?

    Thanks...

One last question, im looking for a good mouse, for some gaming, and normal use, im trying to buy something cheap, but if it is not possible, its ``ok`` to spend some more, but my question is, is this the mouse ``for me``? or i should look for something else,

    HELP!

  • @SuperMito21 if ur rechragable battery dies and u cant wait to charge it, tu can use a regular AAA battery . i know becaue i have done it

this mouse is alright for gaming. its not as optimized for gaming compared to actual gaming mouses (eg more custmizbale button)

these mouses are fairly cheap on ebay and amazon last i checked if u really like it.

    hope this helps

  • hey man. i just got this mouse and my mouse isn't charging. there's a blinking red light and i have no idea how to fix it. help plz!!

  • @Nidokid ye that happens to me sometimes. if you look inside the battery compartment, you'll see this separate black ribbin plastic thing in the center if i remmeber correctly. that thing basically detects the battery there ( i think its stupid). try wiggling the battery around (take it in and out) and see if that resolves it. if not take small piece of paper and wrap the battery once or twice and put it in.

hope this helps man! let me know if ur still having issues.

  • @randomrazr how thick do i have to wrap the piece of paper? the red light's still blinking. argh.

  • @Nidokid im at uni and dont have the mouse with me. the paper isnt necessary but sometimes it works. wrap it around twice, that shoud be thick enough.

  • @randomrazr =/ still not working. i think i'm going to file a complaint and get a replacement. any last minute advice before i put this away?

  • @Nidokid all i can say is keep taking in and out the battery and slapit in the charger and hope the green light comes on instead of red. im not sure what else to say. i wont lie ive had this problem a couple times. i dont use the 7000 mouse that often since im not at my desktop much anymore. (macbook ftw lol)

microsoft is decent with customer service. chances are you'll get someone over seas ..indian lol. there mostly likely replace it.

hope this helps! subscribe if you like :)

  • How much hours can you get out of it for 1 full charge?

  • @iExD 1 and half months to 2

  • I had the same problems with the Mouse I have to keep adjusting the battery to keep it from flashing red when I put it on the charger. Microsoft acknowledges this problem with the mouse, and has offered to replace the entire set for free since it's got a 3 year Warranty .

  • @DWJ202

haha thats awesome man. did u get the replacement yet?

anyways, if it happens again the problem is the battery they supply isnt thick enough. theirs a little sensor thing in the battery bay that detects the presence of the battery. if it doesnt then it flashes red and obviosuly givs u the bullshit problems lol. to fix it, all u need to do is wrap some tape around the battery to make it seem thicker. that should fix it

but id get a free replacement to anyway LOL

  • I have not received the new Microsoft 7000 series Mouse and keyboard set yet . They will be shipping them out in April , my guess is that Microsoft knows that they have an issue with the rechargeable battery and have fixed the battery issue since. If you want a new set call 1800-360-7561 and let them know that you're having problems with the battery not charging and the red lite keeps flashing on the charger, and they will send you a new set , it's worth a try. Good Luck!!

  • @DWJ202

i already have the 6000 v3 AND the 7000 set.

what am i gonna do with another 7000 set? lol

  • @randomrazr

You can just keep both sets in case one breaks it's free from Microsoft anyway if you had to use tape on the rechargeable battery that is not good , I only expected Microsoft to send me a new lithium battery, but they told me they don't send out parts just a new replacement set . I'm sure it's because Microsoft knows that they are aware the lithium battery they used was too small and does not make contact with the strip inside the mouse .

  • this mouse sucks the recharge sucks i always get a red LED light (means its not charging correctly)

  • yes u are right the recharging does suck

the 6000 version is the same thing but uses 2 double A's that are disposable that last 6+ months!

i think i know the problem with yours. theirs an issue with the battery sensor thing in the mouse, when u put a battery in the mouse is suppose to detect it, but the problem is sometimes the battery is now wide enough so to fix this wrap some tape around it and it should solve ur battery issues

let me know if that works!

sub for more vids if u like!

  • I had the same recharging problem but it can be fixed. Always keep your mouse ON when recharging and clean the contacts both inside the mouse in the battery slot and on the battery aswell. I cleaned the contacts and haven't had the red LED since :)

  • sweet

  • haha thanks

no one really cares about a mouse but it was something cool so i thought i would share it with people who are looking for a decent mouse for whatever

the other part of my vids are car ones, mainly on my buick and such so, those are coming too! lol

  • im achualy thinking about a new mouse and keyboard this logitech wireless sucks i got it very cheap but its been holding up fairly well. cant wait too see the vids man
