@Annile12 the stage theme yes, but when he beats the first stage the music that comes when you catch a pokemon appear instead of the usual mega man victory theme.
@Annile12 The tone you hear at the end of the stage is the same tone as Pokemon Red/Blue where you successfully catch a Pokemon and/or find a hidden item.
Wait, did you merge a Konami sound engine with a Capcom one? Cause that's what the second Wily stage sounds like, unless the Capcom sound engine is similar to the one Konami used. I'm quite impressed with your ROM hacking expertise.
I've seen that some Japanese guys were working on an MM4 hack which was meant to be a port of MM9, but it seems they stopped. So, I assume that with the correct workarounds and tricks, MM9 could run on the NES? I'd pay you dearly for that hack!
@NonRandomUser I'm as surprised as you are. The first Megaman 4 hack that's NOT gonna be canned! Or at least, will be canned at a state that it's almost already complete in anyway.
@sticktendo go to his original video titled "Rockman 4MI - May 2011". In the description, you'll find a 2 download links. One for the original patcher and the other for the IPS files.
You lost what, ten seconds? For a realtime run, that's pretty good, given what you gained. It's an impressive run, though I perfer your blind runs where you don't Hell Wheel everything to death...
Ah, Hell Wheel. Making almost every battle a winnable battle of attrition.
Anyway, the title was giving me the impression that Rush Cannon just refused to work on one or both of the bosses--I was expecting it to not work on Dark Rock given he's technically you, but I guess Rush just really wants to kill you after all these years. Regardless, good job on halving your time.
@Lucariofan448 It's from Gradius II for the Famicom. Wily 2 even has the same speed up section from one of the later stages in that game. Same music, and even the globe objects are from it.
IT's been mentioned already, but it's Gradius II NES' 7th stage, the high speed segment of the game. The link 0takufan provided does show a link directly showing the gameplay of that stage and the music provided.
I think the track's called "High Velocity", but the Gradius II soundtrack uploaded on Youtube is the Arcade version, and I think the music the arcade uses is much different than that.
the DAC stuff added to the audio rocks, i love that! the second wily level looks absolutely wild. crazy stuff! i'm definitely going to have this hack put on an actual NES cart and see if it plays properly on actual hardware, hahaha
Once again, I love the music from the first stage, but the second one is just meh. >_> I'm all curious now about your project prior to this. Great vid! :D
Did Puresabe's site move? The only links I can find take me to a page that (I think? It's in Japanese) says their service hasn't been offered since last October.
OH DEAR LORD GRADIUS MUSIC IN A MEGAMAN HACK AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ALL MY CUM
My goodness.. This hack just gets more and more epic as it goes. The auto scrolling looks really hard. The Clone battles a nice touch, considering he actually takes your powers. Can the clone take Hell Wheel? If he can, does he use it like you do or what? I imagine if he did it would be insanely dangerous.. :)

I just finished playing through this hack this morning. Very neat. Fun, although Brightman's level was way too gimmicky (I hated the second half.)

This hack can quite honestly best be described as Megaman on Steroids.

Everyone asks about Wily 2. While I admit it's better, I'm sad no one's asking about Wily 1. It's the last song we haven't identified.
