I'm saying you clearly haven't done the research. It's clearly just a community service program. They don't teach Islam, idiot, as they aren't affiliated with any establishment of religion, though they often work with faith-based programs. You're allowed to talk about religion as much as you want so long as you aren't so as a represenitive of AmeriCorps to others. It's not manditory... in fact it's a bit hard to get into.

Having been in the National Civilian Community Corps last year I can give you a first hand account - the 'Camps' as you so aptly put it are horrible! Just like Nazi Concentration camps, what with the horrible food catered to us and all of the gas chambers around 9-H at the Perry Point Concentration Camp. The worst was how I was forced to fill out the voluntary application to join and all the horrible friends I made and devious people whose houses I helped build. P.S. - Please learn english

God forbid that we get young people to start contributing to their communities and not just themselves... The 2-year camp is a bit extreme, though. Even 1 year. Having people do something they don't really want to do will result in the sacrifice of quality community service. Honestly, I would rather someone do nothing than do something like shit.
