  • Wow.

  • l practice this triplet and the pmp triplet every day,it has to be at least 1 1/2 months, even when l'm sitting watching t.v. l do the flicking motion so to build up my extensor muscles to get the speed up to do it properly but l am getting frustrated,l've watched your 2 videos on these techniques over and over and l am my form is correct, what can l be doing wrong, please give me some insight.thank you so much for all the videos you are a very good guitarist.

  • @mateojc1

Check out the pages on my website about triplet rasgueados. Also maybe give it a rest for a few days and work on something else. You may be driving you hands crazy. Practice slow not a full speed. If you feel tension anywhere you are doing it wrong. Tension is the killer in this technique so practice slow not fast. I can't tell what you what are doing wrong because I cannot see what are doing. This is why I always recommend a face to face teacher is possible.

  • @hersoveela thank you,yes l noticed my hand is very tense when l do this and the pmp triplet,my hands are very stiff and sore from trying to increase my speed with the metronome,l'll try practicing it slower...funny l can play every other flamenco technique but cannot seem to get the continuos rasgueado, which in my opinion is the mainstay of flamenco.

  • @mateojc1 the triplet vid i learnt off showed using your thumb and pointer/middle/ring fingers. not with your thumb. and i got the technique down in not even half a day. try the way i do it. mute your string. strum down with youre middle finger, down again with your thumb, then back up with your thumb, and repeat. and practice slowly and build up speed.

  • Short video but very useful!! Corta video pero muy clara y detallada! Gracias!

  • Thanks a lot. Very clear and informative.

  • thank u very much

  • The chords are: Am, C, Am, Asus4, Dm, E.

  • Do you use both fingers when you do the up stroke for this rasgueado, or only the index finger

  • m down

    i down

    i up

The only ever use P and i for upstrokes, in this case i. I never use two of anything for upstrokes. Always one.
