I saw the Knickerbockers back in the late '60s in Florida. They knocked me out and I rushed to buy their album, which I still own. The guitar player was excellent, as good as any of the great English players. Don't know why they didn't achieve greater success, they were much more than a Beatles knock off.
Once I recorded this song on a cassette full of Beatle songs (except for this one). I played iit at parties in the 80s. No one said anything. No one noticed it wasn't a Beatle song.
hands down best beatles 45 sound alike, and from 1965.
