Jenny. I want you to know that your book was the final straw that made me feel positive about coming out and living my life as my authentic self. I came out in March of 2007. I am now on the other end of my physical transition. I am now working to raise awareness within and without the LGBT community. You are one of my heroes. Thank you for sharing your story.
I am fastly approaching 41 and have just completed my first year RLE. Your memoirs have been such an inspiration for me. You wrote "Its not who I want to go to bed with, but, who I want to go to bed as". This is by far the best definition of transsexualism I've ever come across.
Thank you so much for such a generous gift as your story.
Great BOOK! Being a mother of a 10 year old Trans child i learned alot from your story! Such an insperation, i do pray my daughter will be accepted as you were in life!!!
Hi Jenny. I read your book "She's not there" and i liked it. I thought the part about the girls and the pitbull was a little funny. did that realy happen?
i consider myself to be transgender.
I was wondering if there was anyway i could try to get u to come maybe give a lecture at my college about being Transgender? I figure it could maybe be set up through my college's Multi-cultural center if you wanted to for next year or any year u could make it.
Brilliant! Thank you so much, Jenny - I shall read your book. You're so lucky to always wake up feeling like a woman - I've always felt like both/neither 24/7 but hey it's my world, too. ;-) And you're right, you can't "snap out of it" LOL. Mind that dog's ear, now! x
I simply love this book and it will always have a special place in my life. I actually read it while recovering from srs in Neenah, praying my laughter wouldn't cause certain stitches to tear. We even emailed for a short period back then - you were always so generous to reply. Sweet memories.
