@johnrock882 I looked up "that's that" on Rap Genius, seeing the lyrics written out with the little hover overs makes me think there is no meaning to the overall song, only individual lines or phrases. The lines don't form a cohesive verse with meaning. No doubt the guy's flow in that song is amazing and his beat is sick but It just doesn't seem like he's saying anything. I guess it's like poetry that's meant to evoke feeling not tell a story but it doesn't seem that way when you hear it.

Lyrically though, I think Emimem leaves loads of rappers behind. I'm not saying Doom is bad, he is fucking sick, as are rappers like Earl and Jehst. they just don't really have many songs that go anywhere to compliment their flow and rhyming skill. Eminem manages this but also produces some terrible pop shite for charts. Swings and roundabouts.

@TheJavaServer Em, earl and jehst are pretty dope, but most rappers have some form os inspiration, earl uses mf doom's beats constantly, he has like 10 songs with his beats. A lot of rappers use MF's style. BTW: Listen to Earl - Mezmorized, hes on the second verse, I think its a great exampleof Earl using MF's style.
