God! I am so glad that NPR didn't report on this. I love Steven. But when it comes to real news he is not even remotely worthy of being reported on. I tell ya I am a democrat but I think the only trustable news distributers are NBC, CBS, and NPR.
So what? Astroturf begets astroturf. That's all there is any more. Anyone who honestly believes they're part of an edgy grassroots movement is fairly gullible.
@zancaine Howard Kurtz is the closest thing to trying to show every side of the story as we're going to get on cable news. He tries to present both sides, has hard hitting questions, and great follows ready on the spot. This was a good interview. Sure he has his opinion, as would anyone put on the spot by this rally, but seriously, Reliable Sources is the only news show i can watch without wanting to face palm.
@zerohour19 Howard Kurtz was clearly trying to demonize liberals in that piece. Tell me, why is it that pundits like Beck and O'Reilly can say the most repugnant things imaginable without anyone saying shit in response, but any time a liberal says anything the least bit partisan, no matter how true or justified, everyone's chomping at the bit to call them out on it?
This false equivalency that it's equally bad on both sides is a myth, and you are a sucker for buying into it.
He completely missed the point of what she and Stewart said and was butthurt that the media types like him sometimes escalate problems and demonize people. He acted just like Jon Stewart said the media would act about his speech, paying attention to the trivial and calling out how he's liberal and against republicans and whatever...
Ummm, that's not AstroTurf, that's sponsorship and contributing. I don't think anybody explained to you what exactly astroturfing is. It's when a group is not started from the grassroots, but rather big money individuals posing as grassroots. Like two company CEOs starting a group and marketing it as a group started by middle class individuals that grew in size extremely fast, because of how much those middle class people cared, when it's really a group started and run by two people not ninety.

Yeah, Jon Stewart's SO liberal! That's why Keith Olbermann flat-out INSULTED him.
Nice to know CNN can be douche baggy as everyone else! Good job, bro!
