Do you know how to set it up so it doesn't give out feedback when setting it loud and distorted? I study music at college and they got the peavey amps and I can never set it up properly without them giving a lot of feedback which makes me look like a complete retard and people going "ARRRRRGHHHHH!!!!!!" LOL
@swedo88 Yes I have, Im in a band named Those 1 Kids, and I played for a block party, and it is in fact loud enough to get the job done. You just gotta have the right sound. ;)
@debbo51 I'm probably selling my peavey bandit for around 157 USD. I think it 's worth more cuz it really sounds awsome. Got a Bughera XL for live prformances:)
well can someone explain me the percent switch in the back ,what happen if i want to play it in small room and i have it in 100%???and if i have it on a big place at 25%??
@Ted443 This video was recorded using only the camcorder's condenser microphone. These days, I use a Zoom H2 microphone, which does a great job of recording amplifiers and room situations. I just posted a link to one of my other videos, using the Zoom H2. Cheers.
@wdowa94 i have a red strip and if you drop the gain down to like 3 or 4 and chuck some more mids you can gt a nice rock tone......otherwise it has a rock sound on the toggle switch which is alot acdc rock sounding not heavy rock
@Zordid0 Probably. I was using my old Panasonic camcorder for this one. These days I use the Zoom H2 if I'm recording my Bandit. You can hear that on one of my tutorials - Warm-Up Riff in the Style of Megadeth.
@gsogoz awesome, will check them out, im looking forward to buy this amp by tomorrow, I wanted to know how it sounds like with some metall riffs, etc, since I play metal........ well sort of xD. Thank u.
I also own a Vox Valvetronix AD50VT-XL 2x12. I would say they are a very good amplifier for indie and blues. The one issue is that the stock speakers lack bottom end, but other than that, it's cool.
@tigreslokos Yes. You'll get more variation in tones plus the bandit features more low-end to my ears. Most of my students prefer the Bandit over the Frontman.
@zykophonyguitar ooh man you're right, I just got home from my local music store, tried them both side by side, and the Peavey is superior by much.. yea, I got a much wider variety of tones, just thinking about the 3 options each channel offers, this amp gives more than the Fender, definitely going for the Peavey.. the fender is just, too plain, i dont know, Peavey wins! (= thanks broo, keep rocking!
@tigreslokos I was in the same position as you about a year ago. I've LOVED, I mean LOVED my Peavey since day 1 and haven't looked back. I've played so many gigs with it, and have got asked by people what magic box I was pumping my guitar through to get my tones... this thing is WAY under-rated for the price.
@NEWCtheSHOW haha its amazing how different they sound, I still don't own the Peavey, but probably will when I get the money.. I hear it's really reliable as well!
@ShredWithEd niicee!! I'm really gratefull for all this feedback, I guess Peavey users are friendly lol.. thanks bro, I'm almost sure this is next on my buy list haha
@klasse2bub I'm using an SG, which has 2 humbucking pickups. Your Strat has 3 single coils I presume? That's probably part of the reason, since single coil pickups do not generate as much gain. I'm not using any pedals or effects in this video.
@gsogoz Aw man. I tried matching your settings EXACTLY!!! And I'm using the same model guitar as you. My amp still sounds really boomy and boxy. It's just all wrong. What are your settings for the confusing stuff on the back? Please help...
I tried replicating your rock settings to a T. It didn't work. My amp is either obnoxiously loud, or there's no distortion at all. How did you get the awesome tone without it being so loud? What are the EXACT settings on the amp, even the confusing knobs and switches on the back?
very good demo! this amp is great you can get averdrive on this thing with the clean channel if u crank it and have the correct EQ settings, and then boost it with a OD pedal if u want, sounds oawesome!
you did a great job with this vid. Most times you dont know what this amp will sound like because the kid playing thru it has all nobs cranked and it sounds ridiculous. You have done an excellent job showing real tones-because of this I will be getting this amp. Thank you sir.
i hav bought one of these amps and i cant switch between distortions without foot pedal and i hav boss distortion pedal and ive tried boss metalzone on it and it still has bad quality sound and i hav a mtm2 signature ibanez which i bought for 1 gran and sounds great so i dont know wats up
Imagine throwing a boss metal zone or a hardwire sc2 in front... LTFO...lol.. I want to demo one of these.. Nobody around me has one. Just want a good/solid SS 1x12 amp to jam with... Had a valveking 112.. Very blahhh amp.. This amp sounds very good.. especially with the rock/metal tones it pumps out. I can make my litte Fender 25R shred with a metal zone.. Im liking this amp.. great demo!
Best Sounds Are At (In My Opinion) 4:25 almost has like a fender hot rod sound or like a marshall haze,i also like the sound from 7:01 nice sounds the peavey bandit produces and i favor amps like marshall, crate, fender.
@wedge070 The stock speaker is quite good, it seems to break up at high volumes. I swaped mine out for a EV force 12 and now it sounds incredible. It keeps up with a drummer and bass player. It really is a great amp for the money,
can you tell me your settings pleaseee. i got this amp today, and it`s fucking loud. please i beg you to tell me your setting please :( and of course your post gain. thanks <3
heres a setting plug the guitar into high gain.. put it on lead.. 10 on pre gain 10 low, mid, and high, and about 1 and a half on post gain max reverb and and max boost... gives heaps of distortian :)
Great, I have the same and it's awesome an very cheap, velry low noise and big sustain, but the best is the boost, I made my own footswitch including a doble looper connected to the Loop section. Greetings
i have that amp and it is 80watt, and when you plug in a external speaker cab it is 100watt. all you have to do is read the bloody manual and check at the back of the amp
@AJloeshx i don´t think so man, 112 amp means: 1 horn for 12 inches but the question would be what´s the power of that horn?? i hink it is a 100wtt amp
I just got this amp and its fine and all but could any of you recommend a distortion pedal that would go well with this amp??? Im not in great favor of the distortion.
@MoonKnight14 You will get such an improvement over your Spider from this amp. Go for it, at 300 dollars this amp can hardly be beat (except by used amps, even then still a pretty good competitor)
How is this amp for playing at home?Sometimes I play with some friends also. I believe that is it too loud, but when I was looking at it on the store I found 100,50 and 25 % on the back. If you put it at 25% will it be less loud then?
@Moongrock Yeah I'd bet it's an attenuator. If it is, then it will make it a lot quieter therefore making a distorted sound a lot better and easier at lower volumes. The higher wattage is for louder cleans. Rock on!
i dont like this amp im really disappointed with it... distortion sounds kind of.. hollow if that makes any sense.. idk maybe its just not what im used to
@FeralArtist im running with duncan designed on a schecter demon 6 at the moment, ive hooked the bandit up with an mt-2 pedal now and almost never use the actual amp distortion anymore, yeah maybe its the pickups i dont think it would make a dramatic difference though
I've got an Envoy 110, which appears to be the lower end of this. I was wondering what the technical differences are? So far, I've only found that the wattage and slight layout differences.
please respond uuum does it have good distortion by itself? how many watts and do you think it would sound good with a distortion pedal like a boss mt 2 metalzone please tell me and would it be good for small gigs thank you
hi man does the peavey 112 bandit have a good distortion by itself and in general is it good and does it sound good with a distortion pedal and how many watts does it have and by the way awesome player u are

Any chance you have a tab or can direct me towards a tab for what you play at 2:17?
cheers

Rock on!

i dont like this amp im really disappointed with it... distortion sounds kind of.. hollow if that makes any sense.. idk maybe its just not what im used to
darkaurora11 1 year ago
@darkaurora11 Maybe it's your pickups. This amp is pretty solid.

@FeralArtist im running with duncan designed on a schecter demon 6 at the moment, ive hooked the bandit up with an mt-2 pedal now and almost never use the actual amp distortion anymore, yeah maybe its the pickups i dont think it would make a dramatic difference though

@darkaurora11 Yeah it's really about what you're happy with. When you're happy with your tone you will play a lot better.

Great demo and playing ! I just bought one last week and it's awesome !
I never knew that Peavey solid state amps had such a punch to them.
This amp sounds like a stack on certain settings.
I was upset that Peavey is too cheap to include the footswitch, though.
I had to order that seperately from an online store.

@guitar62751 Agreed. It's also a bit on the expensive side, at least the one I got at the shop.

I've got an Envoy 110, which appears to be the lower end of this. I was wondering what the technical differences are? So far, I've only found that the wattage and slight layout differences.
