  • what a shitty recording.

  • JOSH WAS SUCH A BETTER DRUMMER, SORRY CHRIS.

  • I saw a video on here of them covering the trooper at neverender, they had female vocals for the OoO and claudio reached them perfect.

  • What I wouldn't give to see this.

  • they sounded just like the expendables with metal solos and reggae

  • That jam was absolutely amazing.

  • talk boxes are so fucking sweet

  • maverick...eat a dick

  • your a dumb ass

  • Comment removed

  • stop trying to ruin a good song with a shitty camera.

  • RIP Saratoga Winners

  • This is the show at which I first saw these guys. To the person who posted it, do you possibly have any others from this night somewhere stowed away?

  • I love the way the switch things up in the beginning of The Trooper. For a moment I thought they were only teasing the song and going right back into EE. Sounded very different.

  • what song are they jamming to?

    anyone know?

they did this jam on Live at Lazana Rosa EP

  • Everything Evil

  • no i mean teh reggae song. not everything evil, i know theyre jamming to that.

  • They did a longer jam in 2004 at the Trocedaro or somethin' like that. I'm sure it's on Youtube still.

  • i love hearing him use his FM4...he doesn't use it enough anymore and it cranks out some great sounds

  • FM4?

  • it is the big purple pedal at the top of his pedal board. it is made by line6, Filter Modeler. it is basically a synth/looping pedal

    listen to 7:11 - 7:18

  • Ohhh I know what you mean

Just don't know it by name

  • yea! i want one, but they're like $250 so...i'll have to wait

  • lol it sounds really cool

  • you guys might want to check into Electro Harmonix stuff! Really sweet pedal gear and I believe they sound more natural then some of line 6 products. Some gear isn't that expensive either.

  • im not really a huge fan of line 6 gear...just the fm4 and dl4...all the other pedals including the amps i have played with dont really do it for me...i dont know much about Electro Harmonix, but i'll check it out...thanks!

  • I am also pretty sure I was at this show!Oh memories.

  • This was where you saw Coheed and Cambria longggg ago. I miss this! I remember when F-Timmi (rip) used to open for them. And 3, Joey Eppard's band, did too!!! Good times!

  • woah

    claudio sounds drunk

  • Wow, good thing his speech wasn't SOO slurred at the beginning that no one could understand him, lol.

  • They did this in NY too. It was beautiful.

  • 33!!! haha

  • thats pretty sick coheed<3

  • omg orasm

  • When I saw them(in Sydney) they played The Trooper, though Travis did lead vocals on it and he did a great job. I love Coheed and Cambria.

  • hey dude i really like this band I've really listened to much of this kind of music can u give me some good band besides CO & CA to listen to in this genre?

  • i meant to say not relly, listened to sorry.

  • try at the drive in or muse, thats the best i can give you.

  • uhm, maybe 3. the band's name is 3. haha. give them a listen too.

  • shabutie is good

    haha

    jk

thats coheed and cambria before they were coheed and cambria

    =]

  • GOOD JOB!

  • haha

i was high when i made tht comment

    XD

  • Neverender SSTB Chicago it is going to be amazing

  • fuck yeah doggy

  • lol he was fucked up in the beggining

  • claudio sounds drunk in the beginning.. lol... but they play beautifully in this video...

  • you got too admire a band with enough balls to stop in the middle of one of their crowd pleasers to play a reggae jam then a cover lol

  • not bad quality

  • awesome vid. best part is when they start playing the trooper and the sec guys are like "hey, is that the trooper? it is! ftw!!" also a 33 fan here.

  • lol i thought i was the only person who liked 33 everyone i show hates it most likely because its uncomercial sound

  • yeah i like 33, it was my least favorite song on SSTB but i, like so many other of their song, have slowly come to love and appreciate it

  • oops, I meant to give you a thumbs up, but I hit down.

I've fallen in love with SSTB again.

    Definitely great in its entirety.

I'd pick Junesong, Delirium, or Evil as an album favorite, but 33 is top 5.

  • It is Josh. This was taken around Easter in 2004.

  • But chis had a small drum kit but is just, more technically inclinde, i think Josh is better in this band, i mean ive seen Chris outside of Coheed in like drum seminares and he is amazing but in a band he dosent seem to bring it for me, im not disagreeing with you, just felt like posting my opinion

  • when he talks at the start he sounds EXTREMELY drunk.

  • Definitely my favorite Coheed video on Youtube.

  • ..i that josh on drumms...cant tell

  • yes it's him^^

It's definitly his own playing manner (he strikes the cymbal with his left hand)

  • It's so awesome when the guy hugs the security at 3:02 :p

  • it's awesome when that guy calles out 33 i love that song

  • coheed is so f'in raw, i just love it when he bows his head down, while playing, in glorious orgasmic rock!

  • if you dont mind tellin me, when was this video taken? it seems to me like this was one of their shows around SSTB time, am i right? or right before IKSSE3?

  • yea

idk about around sstb but its definately early

  • claudio Sanchez is the coolest person in the world and i want to be him

  • Nice camera work on the guitar solo battle dude!

  • that's such an stupid thing to say ¬¬

it took you that long to find out claudio's roths?

  • nice reggae jam

  • I learned last night that you never really understand this band until you see them live.

    I am so fucking tired.

I wouldn't change it for the world.

    thank you coheed. for everything.

  • I agree completely.

  • I agree also. I went to Warped Tour twice and watched them both times and they were pretty good but it wasnt until I saw them on their tour that I really started to like. Almost the best concert I've ever been to, second only to Rush

  • hell ya!

  • Haha, listen to Claudio talk at the beginning... hes so fried

  • haha he really is too XD

  • Yeah he totally is. I know a guy who is friend's with their tour manager and he said I could smoke with them if I wanted the next time they're in town... almost makes me wish I still did lol

  • this is a fucking bad ass video and Claudio is Puerto Rican because his white Gibson SG has a Puerto Rican flag on it

and im Puerto Rican so that makes us like best buddies

  • Umm...actually, the flag is on his white X-plorer

  • haha pwn

  • Umm...actually he does have an sg with the flag on it, it was used back in the day look it up

  • I was just going to add that, at least someone knows about old Coheed, or Shabutie. Stupid posers.

  • its Poseur. not poser. haha

  • No it really isnt though...haha

  • Its not an Sg. Its a white gibson x-plorer, it has a puerto-rican flag sticker right below the bridge. Get your facts straight man.

  • well even though i left that comment like a year ago... i was talking about his old guitar he used before his explorer, which was infact an sg... get YOUR facts straight man.

  • He has another one on his SG, fuckwit.

  • good to see coca recognizing their predecessors with a little maiden. good men!

  • y'ill see them in december

  • where are you seeing them at? I'm seeing them in december as well

  • the security guard got like, kissed by some random kid hahahaha....that sucks

  • CLAUDIO SANCHEZ IS INDEED PUERTO RICAN. and hes amazing!

  • Claudio's hair is so wavy it sticks out in a pony tail it looks like he has pictials on kind of

  • Claudio- "whbhwbwhb......you got your ass whooped"

  • Wow dude.. Who ever took this did an amazing job considering they were prob getting the shit whooped out of them.

  • i love how he dusnt say i'll

    he says Y'ill

  • haha y'i love that he does that

  • nice camera work

  • anyone else think this version of the trooper is better than the original???

  • lol i know what you mean. It's got a different feel yeh. But it was Maiden's genius that created the song

  • what are you smoking?

  • PCP, you?

  • nothing yet, thanks for the advice

  • Not at all

  • dude i love coheed....but maidens got it in the bag, coca did totally tear it up though. They show how different they are in this vid, reggae jam and iron maiden within minutes :)

  • idiot

  • u fail...

  • fuck you man with your shit catchphrases

  • @TechnoMartyrdom uhh i think i was replying to someone elses comment when i posted this, not about the band..i love these mother fuckers to death, O_o just in case you thought i meant coheed was epic fail, idk whatever lol, oh and this cideo is fuckin hilarious

  • get dead!

  • So awesome.

  • I was at this show, and it was the best concert of my life. The phone ringing as the intro, "Hello Apollo, where should I begin?" Christ, IKSSE is the best song I've ever heard, with all that chanting at the end, gives me goosebumps.

  • Wtf happend to the sound at 4:18?

  • the entire place went under water

  • awesome. great camera work on the dual guitar solo!

  • What's the second song they start playing after the Everything Evil reggae improv?

  • ....the trooper....its in the title of the movie its by iron maiden gr8 song coheed makes it orgasmic tho...lol

  • "the trooper" by iron maiden

i have an acoustic version of coheed covering it on my ipod

"so, this is for you...you got..[slurs]....you got ur ass whooped."

    good old claudio.

    I miss those days

  • ya i know...

now he just kinda goes out there and does his thing then leaves.

    not as much crowd interaction.

    still my fav tho.

  • Lmao hug the security.

  • i saw them when they come to mexico city, i was about 3 feets in front of claudio and wow, the best part was when they start improvisate for like 20 minutes, theyre awesome musicians

  • feets? .... improvisate?

  • puerto rican

  • Awesome. wanna hear them play all of The Trooper now.

  • no way dude thats tight

  • Iron Maiden hahaha. Kick ass.

  • I really hope one day they do a full cover for the Trooper. Sounds great!

  • i like this song!
