Same opening sequence similar to the one in 2006 and same news theme music! But WSB had retired the theme music last year.

I will say this when I first watched Atlanta news in the early 1990s I was pro WSB and WAGA at that time, but since WAGA is now owned by FOX im still pro WSB, but also pro WXIA. WAGA is still good, but not as good when they were a CBS affiliate. WXIA has done some good, but still in third place ratings and love WSB

I was not aware that, as of 1998, any stations had already adopted today's sorry television news philosophy of "Live, Local, Late Breaking."

I believe WRTV in Indianapolis had adapted that slogan as well by this time, if not before.

If you want to know what news music package they are using, It is called "News 2000" from a company called Music Partners. I visited their website a few times to search for that news package, but it didn't have it at that time.

It's solid and it's not over the top. No reason to change what works. Look at 11Alive's terrible theme now--I can't even stand to watch it now.

I LOVE this theme! I've thought WSB was awesome since I first saw them about 12 years ago.

I think this was around the VERY FIRST TIME i saw WSB. I couldn't mistake those graphics' color the first time i looked at that chopper at the Action News close.
