@wolfgangfaust Yes, it's a MIDI controller! As long as you have MIDI cable, you are good. If you have it set up by your computer, you can use that to power your KX.

You could buy an '80s Yamaha synthesizer that would be about 5 times as good at controlling MIDI, does just as much, and will last you even longer (paradoxically) than this brand new thing. For the same price. And that feels and acts like an instrument.

@BaronvonCase Yeah i agree i have a DX7 and it is perfect for MIDI and so forth these things are anoying i dont know how anyone can play one it has like 10 keys so you cant play any proper chord progressions not saying that its horrible and no one should buy it or whatever just saying my experience with one was bad and i wanted to burn it

dude i really really need ur help! i got myself and kx61 i installed all the drivers for windows 7 and cubase al when i plug in it reconizes normally but it doesnt play at all can u help me configurin the midi settings? plz!

I"m considering one of these (kx61) to control my qy100. Can I assign the

four knobs using just the kx and not the computer at all? I'm looking for a standalone midi controller to play instead of the key buttons on my qy100.

The online manual seems to indicate I can assign cc numbers to each knob

using just the kx but wanted a live answer.

Before I had a 25key midi controller that worked fine but sold it and am looking for another.

you can link the kx directly with logic,, the Kx support many famous Software like Cubase, Sonar, DigiPerf, and Logic Studio / Logicpro .. Iam Using FL studio 8 and Logic Studio 8 and it works perfectly.. so i hope it helps,, sorry for my bad english,,.. iam German

@Kolosofun88 übrigens sind im "DAW REMOTE" alle tasten vorpogramiert, du kannst sie aber trotzdem umpogramieren.. Der "Control" bereich muss über die lernfunktion belegt werden.

The KX have NO sound at all. They are midi controllers, not synthesiszers or romplers. You have to use software synthesizers on your computer (like VSTis in Cubase or Fruity Loops or Reason) or real external synthesizers. Alone, no sound with the KX.

How can this keyboard be set up in fl studio 8?

@duga775 install the Driver on your Personal Computer.. Then you have to check your midi settings.. now you can see KX-1 . KX-2 & KX-3 .. activate all 3 ins with the enable button. now you can start with playing and recording.. you can set the buttons from the kx with the "Learn Function" .. hope it helps.. excuse my bad english, iam german..

I'm having trouble getting sound output running Cubase AI with the KX-25 through a Lexicon Omega. I want to bypass my laptops soundcard altogether and have the card set to USB in/out. Sound comes through for everything else (like this video for instance). Could you or anyone suggest to me what settings the KX should have to line up with Cubase and what device settings I should have in AI to to recognize the input and then to output sound through my Omega? Please help if you can. Thanks a ton!
