What most people don't realize is that sushi usually doesn't have raw fish (it can though of course). It is Sashimi that is raw fish. I eat sashimi all the time, but I've never had raw fish sushi (at least I don't think so. My grandmother is from Japan and she's prepared Maki-zushi all the time.)
