  • God, I would just love that car. I'm 57, and ever since I was an early teen, these Avantis have just tripped my trigger. None of my buds now or then really felt the same way about them. Isn't that weird....or maybe I am. There used to be a guy in the late 60's who ran an Avanti every weekend at the old Tucson dragway. He had a few minor mods, not sure if it was supercharged or not. ?Seems like he ran low 14's or high 13's @ 97-100 mph. If I may, how much did this sell for? Thanks. Joel in Tucson

  • gorgeous.

  • This is a nice looking auto. Studebaker was way ahead of its time and had some futuristic cars like the Avanti and Hawk(silver & golden). Thanks for sharing this video.

  • Is she still for sale as of 9/14/2011??

  • Beautiful.

  • how much did you have to pay??

  • nice!

  • idling at about 6500 rpms? EEEEK!

  • WOW! WOW!, WOW. thanks for video.

  • Very ahead of its time... Studebaker always seems to design funky cars (and their aftermath, AMC)....LOL.. "And it can be YOURS!" Good luck on the sale!

  • @musicom67 Studebaker had absolutely no relation to American Motors (AMC). AMC was formed from the merger of Nash, Rambler, Hudson, and later Jeep. Studebaker was a separate company and merged with Packard in the 1950's before ceasing production of automobiles in March of 1966. Regardless AMC did have some funky styling in the 70's.

  • Congratulations nice car and it sounds mean. Thank for showing
