  • Ugh yeah, your heart was in the right place but don't put up the background music it really takes away from the great las Vegas atmosphere

  • I'm sorry your original sound got blocked man.

  • This version you made suck balls. I was just in Vegas and this video you made litterally made me vomit.

  • ...what happens when Warner Music block videos at random - the city with all the gloss removed - just the sound of water falling!

  • So your saying they blocked the music out of this video?

  • yes! see my video response above. I have the original sound - this video was the highest rated in the world before it was blocked. I added the new music to show how Vegas would sound without all the music, glizt and glamour we cannot switch off as we walk in that place. The video was even used to advertise Bellagio

  • You, sir, are full of shit

  • Mine got blocked to. WTF?

  • Imagine YouTube and Warner Music have got together in trying to sell the Music 'Luck be a lady tonight' with my video - yet the viewer is not allowed to hear the song they are selling - daft business sense! Utterly daft!

  • However, if you do wish to view this video with its 'original' music simple select any one of the other videos on here that are similar length and have the full song. Simple turn down the volume on this one and turn up the other one. The beginning of the actual 'song' - when you were allowed to hear it - starts on my video as you first see the fountains!

  • Warner Music Group (WMG) blocked this video from this site in its original form. The sound was 'Luck be a lady tonight' , the music was a recording of the Sinatra song- it was played by Ballagio in a public space - presumably with the consent of WMG.

  • 'presumable' adj able to be presumed or taken for granted. With this understanding - anyone visiting Las Vegas - would take for granted the freedom to film the events that take place in Las Vegas - and also it seems; to place such films on a inetrnet site such as You Tube. The evidence of this 'presuumption' - over 195,000 videos of Las Vegas are on You Tube alone.

  • Presumably that is why WMG allowed their song to be used with the fountains. So WMG would have presumed - also, that visitors would likely record the fountains!

  • .....at least 9,910 videos are on Youtube include Bellagio and at least 6,230 videos of the Bellagio Fountains - all with the music playing at the time!

  • ....at least 197 include 'sinatra' and 'Bellagio' in descriptions, 69 videos are of the same exact scene as this video - the same water, the same hotel in the background, the same singer and the same song. So why only my one was blocked? Was it beacuse it was the highest rated in the World?

  • No one tells us why a video is blocked. Yet we are the people who make You Tube money - we get none. WMG like any other business would want the best representation of it work and the artists it represents. So why remove the best representation - in the eyes of thos ethat view them - and leave the ones that are liked less?

  • Similarly, in this case because the sound was the naturally emerging sound from Bellagio load speakers booming across Las Vegas it was an integral part of the recorded scene - NOT an add-on! So how did WMG detect my video and block it? They could not have used electronic means as it was not taken from CD or DVD - but from the Las Vegas air! WMG must have manually searched Youtube.

  • Searching through the 195,000 videos of Las Vegas they went manually searching, the 9,910 of those Bellagio ones, the 197 of Sinatra and Bellagio - and finally the 69 of him singing 'Luck be a lady tonight' and the same water and same fountains - without noticing the others even existed!

Why? Why then are the other 69 ok of Sinatra singing 'Luck be a lady tonight'?

Maybe they Sinatra to be heard (otherwise he might be forgotton!) - but not too good!

  • @negba There is no such thing as a freedom to film events of a casino. I work in the Cage at The Bellagio. FYI... In Nevada state law, it's actually against to law to film any part of a casino's property, unless theres a sign that says that its okay to. A writ from the Operations President can allow you also, if you have a permit. Theres a sign by the Fountains on the right, bolted to a post... says NO VIDEO RECORDING ALLOWED. Go preach about your 'injustice' some more, no one cares.

  • @justinhoman Indeed no one cares. The porn cards on the streets, the drunks in the morning and the waste of water. We would have no photography of any kind without freedom in the fresh air! Tourism organisations in the USA actually used my video in its original state to advertise the Bellagio! In some small way my work helped pay your wages.

  • @negba I earned nothing and my ancestors work and employment of Elwood Mead (as in Lake Mead) made Las Vegas possible. Some freedom.

  • @negba Small dent of help or not, the casino doesn't need help by ads to make money. Word of mouth is the best advertising, not to mention that the city is sewed into everyday life like Disneyland is. It's a great video though, it's a shame they took the music away. Try uploading another when it plays Gene Kelly, its pre 1972 and the music is in Public Domain, you can use it freely. The water isn't a waste, its natural from a well that was used for a golf course, its not city greywater.

  • @justinhoman word of mouth and videos!

  • 195,000 videos exist of Las Vegas on YouTube who holds the copyright on them? Is it the person who takes the video? Those in the video? Those businesses that are filmed in them? The sounds of those businesses and people walking. Who owns the sound of Las Vegas? Can we imagine Las Vegas without its gloss, glint, glitter, glitz and glamour? Can we imagine it without the manipulation, money and marketing? Can we hear the real sound of Las Vegas?

  • Literary minimalism is characterized by an economy with words and a focus on surface description. Minimalist authors eschew adverbs and prefer allowing context to dictate meaning. Readers are expected to take an active role in the creation of a story, to "choose sides" based on oblique hints and innuendo, rather than reacting to directions from the author.

  • The characters in minimalist stories and novels tend to be unexceptional; they may be pool supply salespeople or second tier athletic coaches rather than famous detectives or the fabulously wealthy.

  • Another strand of literary minimalism arose in response to the meta-fiction trend of the 1960s and early 1970s. These writers were also spare with prose and kept a psychological distance from their subject matter.

  • It appears that the spirit of Sinatra has told me through Warner Music Group (WMG) that Mr Sinatra no longer wishes to be part of this video! The Mafia still rules it seems. This was a video of the Bellagio Fountains with the real sound of 'Luck be a lady tonight' - it was how it was actually presented. No copy was made of CD, DVD or was not downloaded from Itunes.

  • It seems that we are now not allowed to film our holidays - without the Warners of this world stifling creativity of creative people!

So what the motivations of Warner? On the day that this film was blocked on You Tube - 67 exactly the same films of Bellagio Founatains in Las Vegas - remaimed - all with 'Luck be a lady tonight' as the music as filmed by the filmmakers when the changing presentation was performed.

  • So why me? - well I have one theory. My version was the top rated film of this type in the World.

Do Warner's see me as a threat? Such a big company has come down to this! I am a filmmaker with not formal qualifications and not a professional filmmaker.

  • Youtube nor Warner have provided any explanation for this action - nor are they likely to. Perhaps we as film makers should forget Sinatra ever existed - as this new version perhaps says more about Sinatra, Warner and Las Vegas - as well as the Sleeze of our society and how we are manipulated by big organisations.

  • Please leave comments if this has happened to you or if you feel - film makers should be allowed creative freedom. It seems Big Brother has even more power and even Orwellian thinkers might have thought?

  • This film now provides the sensation of emptiness and the sound of empty water in a silent city of glint and glitter - where all marketing and money is gone. A desert of creativity and blocked freedom.

  • The ghosts of crime are there in this film - the day after filming this I was hijacked on Memorial Day as I travelled through Utah - the bus was going to be shot by the army and police. It was filmed live on TV and no one asked if I agreed to be film - if i had indeed died - I would have had no way of saying no - just like Sinatra!

  • Greatest ever?

  • ROFL @ "should not blow on another man's.....dice!"

  • I did not stay at a hotel!

  • If I pay a lot to stay at a hotel, I am doing more than just watching the water display outside...

  • Wow! I really need to go see that in person!
