  • The ktm must have been a dog.the 250 is slow As shit!

  • Awesome video man

  • The K&N helps, but i would refrain from the power commander. My buddy said it messed up his compression ratio or something; he said it was better stock. Although i did hear the power programmer helped a decent bit.

  • @maryguk They both change the air/fuel ratio. The PC is fine, you just need to have it setup by a good tuner with a dyno. You can download maps that are close, but it's best to spend the money and have a competent tuner set it up.

  • @maryguk question, I'm torn between wr250x & Husky 450SMR?? I'm 6'1" 205 w/gear on. Out of the corners, does the WR have anything, any grunt? I know top speed will be an issue, 250 vs 450, but the 450 will require much more maint. Yamaha engines are practically bulletproof. Ride a yz450f for motocross. Figure, pipe, header, PC, and some other mods will make 250 a lil'more fun as far as throttle response and a lil'power increase. Any advice would be appreciated, PS nice vid, bike sounds good!!

  • @elsunn When I made this video, I was 210 withOUT gear. :) The 250x is plenty fun.

  • I also liked that you passed a KTM.

  • Yeah I have but I have a ktm 525 smr that i usually bring to the track. My Wr is mainly my campus bike, but i went up 4 teeth on the rear and it is much easier to wheelie now, although it did take away from top speed. Great bike though no complaints. Cool video by the way

  • @maryguk +4? Wow. I'm going to leave my gearing stock, but I'll probably add a powercommander and a K&N air filter in the next couple of weeks.

  • Your Wr looks much faster than mine ,top speed wise. What size sprockets you running? Any fly wheel work?

  • @maryguk Hi, I doubt mine is any faster really. It could just be the wide angle video. The only performance mod i've done is install an FMF Q4 slip-on, and removed the AIS plumbing. The engine is completely stock.. no flywheel work. Gearing is stock as well.

Have you taken yours to the track?
