The owner of urban outfitters/anthropologie/free people (Richard Hayne) donates millions of dollars a year to anti-gay groups and he donated a hearty amount to the Yes on 8 campaign. I just found out today. He makes the stores appear liberal to attract young people but he himself is not liberal. He is very much the opposite.

Where did you hear that Hayne donates money to Anti-gay groups or to Yes on 8? His name doesn't appear in the database of donors. He is a republican who gives to GOP candidates, but that's not quite the same thing. I'm not defending him, I'm just saying I haven't seen evidence of what you're claiming.

no no no, you're right. i found that information on a website and then i wrote that comment only to find out after future research that it isn't true. it's just that he gives a lot of money to congressman and lobbyists who are for anti-gay rights legislation.

I love and repect gay and lesbian people too and loathe hate crimes but here is my problem. I am Roman Catholic and have taken Catechism and study the Bible regularly and there are scriptures against homosexuality and bisexual relations.I am not gay but sometimes people think I am because I am recovering from an illness and have short hair so I sympathize with gay people. How do I support gay marriage and be Roman Catholic. JT Damascus

Hey there! i am aware of it. I actually wrote something about it in the info box. Brandon Flowers has denounced Prop 8 and says he doesn't believe in it AND has gone on to say that he is inspired by almost only gay musicians and therefore can't support the Prop. I took that in to consideration and it was PART of the reason I chose the song. That and it's just a damn good song! Haha
