This part totally broke me down. The first thing the boy said to his father was that he was sorry for not taking care of his mother and not anything else along the line of complaining where his father has been all this while. Despite the NK regime, can you see that these people had the kind of loyalty to each other despite the hardship, that none of us have?

@unknown827: as much as north koreans strict people, they are even more corrupt. think about those guard who in themselves lack something to eat. they would be easily dissuaded to be bribed. that has happened a lot and many of those north koreans now in the south, they attempted many times to escape. many of them were imprisoned in labor camps but have somehow bribed their way out.
