  • Dimebag does a great Fractured Mirror. Ace was the man.

  • God I love this guy...

  • AAWWKK love you ace

  • Another tragic tale of wasted youth....Still a fan, Ace!!

  • I'm so glad to listen ay the best guitar player alltimes!!!!

  • I wished Ace stayed in KISS (and off the booze) and continued to grow as a musician---he would've been way better than Eddie VH.

  • @stewiedog01

I agree. Gene really did give Ace his props in his book, and it's sad, really. Gene even admitted that Ace had probably the most cohesive album of all of the solos. Ace is creative as hell, but he just got way too into chemical dependency. He's just a natural musician.

  • Just Awesome! 1 of my fav ACE photos 2:31

  • still gives me chills when i hear this.....ACE is GOD!!!!!!..

  • nice music

  • Greatest instrumental of all time. I've thought about putting in my final instructions to have this played at the end of my funeral.

  • ACE = The man who really is KISS

  • WOW... electric arpegio, todo un viaje por el tiempo sin alcohol, sin drogas, como soy, siempre enfrentando los problemas sin evasión, de frente, aunque llore lágrimas de sangre, si tumban me vuelvo a levantar.

  • such a beautiful song

  • I loved early Kiss. Alive came out when I was in 4th grade and I bought (got for x-mas) every album after that, through Love Gun...then my musical tastes changed. Anyway, I never heard anything from the solo albums except radio play of Back in the New York Groove (I dug it at the time). Got to admit, I really don't like "Fractured Mirror". Good intro, but, as an entire arrangement, it sounds completely undeveloped.

  • There's no lyrics in this song, but Frehley still manages to give it emotion and almost like a story behind it. He might not be the BEST guitarist out there but he did inspire them. He's definitely my favorite guitarist

  • I discovered KISS about the time Love Gun came out. I was never the same again!

  • this song better be played at my funeral followed by Ozzy's "you cant kill rock n roll"-same two chords at the beginning-they fit together if you ask me

  • @ozzyFTW1369 same whole song randy ripped alot of people off

  • @pistolpete111 maybe someday lmfao

  • this is gonna be my new thinking song

  • Wore this out on my Ace LP. My favorite Ace song. Thanks for posting.

  • ''A Drop Dead Gorgious Tune''

  • well i might be late in saying this but Happy Birthday Ace love your music

  • search nicolas and the iceni narrow road to the deep north. these brit guys write great instrumentals

  • There are no lyrics, it´s an instrumental piece. Enjoy!!!

  • brings me back to 7th grade. an awful time when my parents divorced and my mom drove me from chicago to california to live with her mom. she got a bedroom. i got a couch.

that was a lonely time in my life and i was scared of a lot of stuff because my dad was abusive & i had lots of insecurity issues that other kids could obviously see. i moved back to be with my dad a few months later because i couldn't handle the violent school i went to. the Ace solo CD & KISS helped me thru those days.

  • Very nice, but where are the lyrics?

  • Happy Birthday Ace!!

  • Happy 60th Birthday to SPACE ACE!!

KISS fan and collector since 1976

  • THE BEST (if not one of the best) instrumentals I've ever heard. 30 some odd years later, it still sounds GREAT!!!

  • if this song doesnt give you chills...your not ALIVE...!!!!!

  • This is one, of the best tunes, that Ace have ever done. Best closer, for the LP in my book.

  • Long live the SPACEMAN!!!!!!...THE BEST MUSICIAN IN KISS (PAUL IS GOOD; PETER HAD HIS MOMENTS; GENE: BUSINESSMAN...NOT MUSICIAN)....

  • not enough people look past his make up and realize that Ace is in fact an amazing musician

  • its beutyful music

  • love how the music starts with bells then guitar the ect ect one by one,

then full with no vocals then it slows down less and less music.. nice to unwind to

  • ACE IS GOD

  • ACE FREHLEY! OH HIS UNIQUE STYLE OF PLAYING! I LOVE IT! THIS GUY IS MY IDOL I SWEAR!!

  • Ace gave me a reason to live. I wanted to be Ace Frehley when I was a kid. I met him in 1998 and pissed myself laughing. He really is a funny guy. No attitude...not a rock star. Paul and Gene said he wasn't growing as a player and he was wasted on meth/speed. That's a management issue. Musically? Ace was respected by his peers...not his band.

  • the original randy rhoads.

  • This record was so ahead of its time when it was released in 1978. It was the most succesfull out of the 4. I think ACE had a good sence of direction the music should have went for KISS. No wonder he got mad and left the band......

  • he was too good a guitarist for a bunch of disco clowns like Kiss

  • @joostisabelle I so agree...but if you have heard KISS' first four albums they were a pretty kick ass rock n roll band...I think when ACE left they had no other choice than to turn to disco, because they would never be able to find the rock sound ace provided from anyone else...IN my opinion ACE was KISS listen to the fucking guitar!

  • Always loved ACE.

  • I'm agree with bigdaddyluv68 ACE is a real great guitarist

  • Ace is why I play guitar today! He was and remains my greatest six string musical influence along with David Gilmour. This tune in particular speaks to me! He is a true musician and expanded all of our musical vocabulary. He opened our minds with his talented portrayal of the art he so passionately pushed out through his band. Without HE and Peter Chris they would have been little better than the WWE!

  • luv this-thanx ace

  • i remember these guys in the day, my first concert, my first high, damn good time! I'm sad to see where Gene and Paul are trying to take all the good memories and cheapen them for personal gain. Thanks Ace for blowing my mind, turning me on to guitar, and never sellin out! You are a Rock God!

  • I recall falling for this band and their music back in 1979, selling virtually everything I had to buy their albums, singles, posters e.t.c. Everything except the record player that is...

I lost my soul to these guys and don't regret a minute of it .

This particular track, is surely one of the space ace's finest offerings, truely a masterpiece.

  • @scragster105 well written, bro...

And Ace is better now than ever... an anomaly, for sure.

  • Ace is/ has/ and will forever be the best guitar player in the intire universe this an Ace Frehley fan saying thank you Ace your my hero and will ever more be the best

  • Ace Frehley was the soul of Kiss - without him (& the ORIGINAL Cat Man,Peter Criss) they've become their own tribute band! LOL!

"Anomaly" stands head & shoulders above "Sonic Boom" - read it & weep Gene!

  • @zevo66 i agree anomaly shows how good ace really is. great album. sonic boom sounds like they put tommy thayer and eric singer in a room and said try to sound and look like ace and peter. bad immitations.

  • @pistolpete111 Yes and No.. Timing is much different.. The sound is about the same and thats it..

  • i want 5:27 of my life back...

  • fractured quantum from his new solo album is pretty simular to this one

  • this is why ace is the best member of kiss

  • can somebody please tell me why there are 9 dislikes? ACE IS THE MAN. WE LOVE YA ACE

  • SEE MY NEW VIDEO DEDICATED TO MY HERO OF ALL GUITAR.... "ACE"

  • did ace copy foreigner,s tramontane or vice versa?

  • Great over looked instrumental. ACE you still rock in my book!

  • is it just me or does you can't kill rock 'n roll by ozzy sound just like this somebody tell im not crazy

  • @Starchild132 i think it does. I've read somewhere people talking about that ozzy (Or randy) borrowed something from this song.

  • @krollaostmedburger im glad im not the only one who noticed

  • @krollaostmedburger you cant kill rock and roll

  • @guitarfone true xD

  • ace frehley in my mind is the best and will always be the best guitarist i will ever have the privledge to ever see and hear a true artist performer and master of his craft!!!!

  • LOVE YOU FOR EVER......

  • For you young fans....TRY IT WITH HEADPHONES!!!!!!! YOUR GONNA LOVE IT!!!!!

  • This is really beautiful!

  • i love aces dynasty costume with the cape and all

  • Love this one used to crank it in my yolder brothers camero blasting bass ...it great!

  • Beautiful song...beautiful man ;)

  • I need more Ace

  • Ace is the MAN!!!

  • my video response "remains of the day" is heavily inspired by this.

  • what's that guitar he's playing at 1:51?

  • @cciemail Look's Like a Double Cutaeay Les Paul. Not a very well liked guitar for some reason. The style has been used by PRS of late.

  • @BLS1313666 Sorry, That would be CUTAWAY.

  • @BLS1313666

but the headstock looks different. can't be a gibson. maybe a japanese knock off???

  • @cciemail Just looked at the head stock. You are right. Probably not a Gibson. I have seen the style before but cant place it. Lotus or maybe one of the Ibanez lawsuit guitars. They were so close to the real thing that Gibson filed a lawsuit to force them too stop. Will look around and try too find out.

  • i got to meet the man i love him to death best guitarist ever

  • nice use of imovie great song

  • Ace may have had some drinking problems, but he always new in his heart which direction the music should go. and when it didnt go the way he felt, that probably added to his drinking problems. Ya know. Your in a band that you love but musically is going in a direction you cant stand. what else could you do. drink yourself to death or quit the band. His solo album was the best of the four, so who do you think was right?

  • @01po01po yeah i agree his album was definitely the best of the four. i got the other 3 yesterday and they didnt even compare to how good ace's was

  • my 2 year old loves this song

  • you gotta love The Spaceman......truly one of a kind no matter if Tommy Thayer is wearing his makeup!

  • it really drives me crazy how cute he looked in makeup....

  • @kevindale68 i'm sure ass,i mean ace,would appreciate that.Ace's tapastry,i love it.

  • this song is a maz za zing

  • Ace is the bets in the band! no doubt about it!

  • best guitsrist ever,

  • love this i listened to this shit when most of you were still in diapers. yea im old

  • @thomas196347 we wernt even born yet and still we love KISS and there fantastic guitarist Ace!

  • 2:30 is the GREATEST!!!!!

  • Great pics...thanks!! Great show for all the Ace fans.

  • Wunderschön. Ace ist der Größte.

  • I have forgotten this piece of music.....its been years and years since I have heard it until afew nights ago...........brings back alot of memories, of being 14,15,16,17 loving Kiss and their music....best time of my life, happy memories and this is the best solo albums from Kiss.....Ace, I love your music and you being one of the creators of the best rock bands ever......there will NEVER be another KISS, not the one I remember and listened to when I was a teenager. Ace Frehley is a Rock God!!!

  • Does anyone know if he has ever played this live on tour ever?

  • i dont think so, but recently he did have it playing just before entering on stage (anomaly tour) :)

  • @josephgrey93.....Thats really cool to know.....and what a great intro song...I will look forward to hearing that play before he hits the stage when I see him play here in Vegas....Thanx 4 the info!

  • he played it live for about a min screwing around--its on you tube here also

  • Awesome song!!!

  • not enough ACE worshipping goes on in this world. nice upload thnx

  • Ace has always been the best

  • @123ozzied1 and always will be

  • @123ozzied1 ALWAY'S WAS, IS, and WILL FOREVER BE!! LoL!!

  • 2:44 is this most cooolest picture in the world

  • 4:06 AWESOME

  • Excellent ACE!!!

  • ACE: GUITAR GOD

  • I disagree with the dude that called Ace "average"-in the '70's,Ace was THE hot-shot on the 6-string-not Jimmy Page, noit Clapton, and Eddie wasnt heard of yet-just listen to Parasite-a killer solo, and do you realize how many people Ace inspired to pick up th guitar? He may have slowed down, but even Eddie isnt what he once was-ACE ROCKS!!!!!!!!

  • wow that was a great comment i do agree ace has inspired many ppl to play, like me i picked up my first guitar when i was eleven and havnt stopped playing since

  • that was @ guitarsrmine btw

  • I agree 0065555. Randy is the King!!!

  • beautiful peice''reminds me of Zebra at times''& Ozzy You cant kill Rock & Roll''

Ace inspired as many ppl as Hendrix to pick up a guitar & wanna be a rock star''My mom took me to see kiss in 1979''dynasty tour''I wanted to be a Rockstar ever scince that day''lol a band called New England Opened up for them''Pual Stanley produced there album''I Know a lot about music''& have a good memory''lol

  • @evelskunny I was there, I saw them in New England.

  • i always loved the fractured mirror suites becuase they were like sound scapes... almost like mike oldfiled

  • love it

  • beautiful acoustic guitar part

  • Most Douchebags dont like this song

  • i agree aeartress....shantalito must have shit in his ears.....great song

  • hahaha

  • i saw ace in november friday the 13th in sault ste marie michigan they played this as he was comming on stage what a show he was awsome!!!!

  • Now I know from where King Diamond took the riff for Black Horsemen! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Ace is the best guitarist of all time...IMHO

  • @dajzilla, I reckon each to his own. I must give Mr. Van Halen his props. However, IMHO, Ace rules!! :-D

  • @dajzilla I disagree, Randy Rhoads is the greatest guitarist of all time. He was a rising star. It's such a tradigy that he died at such a young age.

  • u have no clue what your saying''Ace has better vibrato than eddie''u probably dont even no what that is''i love eddie''but if u think he's the greatest''Go Listen to some old Gary Moore''Jeff Beck''Michael Shenkar''Randy Rhoads''then get back to me''lol

  • eddie is really go and creative on albums but when he plays live he is very sloppy and the only thing he really did was use artificial harmonics alot and popularize finger tapping. he is an average player by todays standards back then he was the best not anymore, check out players that evolve their style and change as musicians like ace here.....

  • Paul David "Ace" Frehley inspired me to pick up the guitar and wear my own make/costume designed by me

    Space Ace Forever!

  • Back in 78 this was the only solo album I bought ACE forever is KISS !

  • just saw ace two weeks ago and he came out playing fractured mirror. it was AWESOME

  • and what makes you so special asshole??

  • This album is AMAZING and still stands up today. More than I can say for most of Gene's crap.

  • @jackiebeat hold on a second don't be bashing Gene or his solo album, you don't know what your talking about if u think gene stuff stinks. Ace screwed up, I love Ace too and wish he didn't do so much damage back in the day but that's his own thing.

  • @posismoke ...oh nooooo....jackiebeat is right...it stinks to high heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ace and this song is Badass!

  • I wish I could have seen the look on Genes face when he found out that "knucklehead" Ace had a better selling record than he did.

  • I think I once counted it...13 guitar overlays, plust bass and dums. Way ahead of it's time.

  • I forgot how much I fucking LOVE this song! I still have the original album!

  • ACE RULES!!!

  • I'm quite taken by how many teenage guys are into this album. Ace's 1978 masterpiece speaks to all ages of metal heads. As others have mentioned, the power chords on Fractured Mirror are spine chilling. I like Anomaly, but Ace's 1978 album is his metal triumph (in my humble opinion)

  • yea, u cant top this. ace was way ahead of his time with this. Timeless. I still remember hearing this for the first time in 78" and was just mezmoized by the sounds he put together.

  • @lancetop I love this album, but I think Anomaly is his best ever in my opinion.

  • nice work

  • true....but noooo singing

  • great job ben! ace is one of a kind

  • Ace has the best solo album out of KISS, Paul Stanley is the better songwriter, but Ace did the best

  • I would have to say that Ace and Paul were much better as musicians and songwriters than Gene and Peter. Gene was more of a showman and a businessman; Peter was a competent drummer, but his personal problems kept dragging him down.

  • Might have thumbs downed but didn't mean too this song is the epitimy of music. The mastery of the guitar is unreal

  • love this tune !!!!

  • Great Solo!

  • love this clip . also love 2000 man

  • a perfect Ace song to play air guitar to

  • When that first power chord enters I get chills.

  • hahahahahahaah gene simmons ,,,kiss aces ass

  • Fractured Mirror is a somewhat rare metal instrumental. Any Ace fan loves it of course. God, to see him perform this live! oh by the way he IS god! hehhehe
