  • I live in South Dakota

  • Love this plane Dave, great review, as always, Merry Christmas

  • put a gyro on it lol man gota love this hobby

  • Nice video. Model planes are technically toys because a toy is usually a smaller version of the real thing (according to my dictionary). However I'm not agreeing with MrVinesh2 because I too hate REAL RC planes being called toys no matter how big or small. The real toys are those cheap planes with cheap quality parts.

@MrVinesh2 As people have said, flying A380's country to country on a SIM does not count...

  • The combover din'nt move at all..Must have not been that windy!

  • Hold on, do you live in Tucson Arizona because it look like my Hobby town p-51. And respond yes no or I'm not tellin you. Not to be rude.

  • Comment removed

  • Horizontal 3d. at the end.

  • can you use that ar6400 on other planes?

  • it looks like that plane got 6 kills all zeros

  • they should make a zero

  • that's the same walk i do after a crash lol 6:15

  • 99,99 bux!?

  • That was very cool

  • @MrVinesh2 you sound like you are a smuchk, get a life dude, if you can't stand this video then go away and go find something useful you can do...... shame on you to even make a comment like that...

  • @MrVinesh2 So what? Old people can't have hobbies. The p51 is not a toy, it is a $130 hobby grade rc airplane. Toys are the walmart $30 airplanes.

  • @MrVinesh2 you know you are just a fat nerd who sits at a computer you dont know crap about rc planes or helicopter and nightflyyer is a rc legend and he invented more ideas that anybody else could have so you should just go sit in a hole for the rest of your life! thumbs up if you think he should!

  • @cowkid540 u know one thing i am a pilot and i dont have to play with this fucken toys fucken every day i fly a380 to country to country

  • @MrVinesh2 1. This plane is not a toy. This is a sophisticated RC aircraft which only experienced pilots can fly.

2.Just because you have a video of a Cessna landing in FSX doesn't mean you are a pilot. You will need better proof.

    3. Who said you need to hate on this video? If you don't like it, don't watch it.

    ~rcflyer132~

  • @cowkid540 2 THINGS I HATE, water spashing on my ass well im trying to take a shit and not being able to find the person the top comment replyed to

  • @MrVinesh2 and ur a fat cow who eats doughnuts all day and dosent know crap about rc planes and u probably dont know what rc means dAVE HERBERT IS ONE OF THE GREATETS PILOTS EVER U DOUCHEBAG

  • @MrVinesh2 Its a free country, u can do what u like, I suppose ur bf didnt give u some thats why this nasty attitude lol

  • @DAMIENloh1970 dude iam not a girl iam a boy may be ur a girl

  • best toy ever is RC .. related .....

  • Question, I can fly Airhogs R/C aircraft flawlessly even the indoor Bi-plane that has only rudder control, anyway would this be a good 4-channel starter?

  • Nice flying Dave. I like the vertical landing out side. guess some old P51 pilots would have loved that manouver lol.

I wish i could find an indoor area bigger than my den, so i could fly my micro heli's to full power.

  • @175myles I got both of those planes, the champ and the mustang, and I have just started to fly the mustang. It does seem more powerful than the champ, but it depends how windy it is where you fly. Also, the control layout is different between the 2 planes. The aierlon controls replace the champ's rudder controls, and the rudder control for the mustang is on the left stick, as opposed to the rudder for the champ on the right. So if you do get it, get used to the controls before flying it in tou

  • I only have a small area to fly my little Hobbyzone Champ so when its even the slightest bit windy its back into the box. Would this be a suitable upgrade from the little champ, or would I be better off just buying something like the SuperCub?

  • Comment removed

  • you should really check out those 420mAh lipos they have on ebay! They work very well with the new micro mosquito, trojan and my fav is the mustang! check out my vids.. i just posted one of the mosquito by parkzone.

  • i noticed your plane makes the same glitcky noise as mine when u put the battery in .

When i bind mine iam using the transmiter that came with it when i use right stick aileron the elevator will twich is this normal?

  • @jkachur777 thats normal. that just means that servo is working :)

  • whould you recomend this for a person that has flown the slope diver and has put a lot of siulader time

  • mine sucks so i got a the new t-28. :)

  • i want one :)

  • i got this airplane for christmas and when i crashed it, the tail broke! when you crashed it it was faster than when i crashed it so i am wondering how this happened?

  • lol that was suicide but awesome! Incredible flying

  • how well does the multiple battery charger work, can you charge 4 different batteries at the same time, will it charge all of them correctly, what battery brands are you using, that is very cool.

  • After the batteries are charged, how long can they sit out for with out having to be recharged?

  • In the beginning it sounds like hes getting a boner lol

  • it's good only, especially to bad weather happened, so you still can play remote indoor ! :) Right ?

  • that genuine smile that you flashed at the end of the video tells us all about this plane.

    looks sooo fun to fly.

  • What kind of flight time do you get out of the stock battery?

  • @98snakeeater hey......i get 8 to 12 minutes...depends on how youare flying..it´s a great little plane!

  • i was flying my alpha 40 trainer and it was so windy it didnt even fly strait it flew sideways because of crosswind

  • My DX6i just arrived and I must say I'm appalled by the build quality. The logo glue had failed and had fallen off, the sticks have a full 10mm of play and the AR6200 receiver had multiple cracks in it! My Dynam 4ch radio is better built!

  • When I Saw it for real in the box, I decided not to buy it

  • he said eflite insted of parkzone haha lol

  • There is a short black and white film that I have seen over the years of three P-51's at what appears to be an air show. Two of the planes collide and crash. The stock footage is actually used in the Sci-Fi film "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers". Is anybody out there familiar with this incident? I have never been able to find out anything about it. Thanks,

    Kc in Texas.

  • i want to see micro f4u

  • Nice Plan Video guy suck ass.... Your fired!

  • I would like to know, how do you get the money to buy all of these toys?

  • 99 Bucks for a plane that small!

  • your the best!!!

  • is it a good beginner plane cause Ive mastered the flight Sim

  • @timdog161 you are not going to want to learn with a micro there is no stability i recomend the super cub lp with stock it does not come with ailerons but u can add them on later

  • @timdog161 I was in the same position as you and I bought this plane. I think it's a great 4ch trainer plane

  • @timdog161

haha that what i did too and the only thing i have to tell you, its way touchier than the simulators. but yeah i dont regret getting it, it's a great plane.

  • @yz125Jerem if its really touchy on your maiden flight just set the control on low rate. this will make your rudder, elevator and aleron respond a little bit less compared to iff you have it on high rate so it will be a bit of a smoother flight until you reall want some sharp hairpin turns then you can turn it on high rate

  • is it a good beginner plane cause ive mastered the flight sim

  • thats exactly like the sukoi but with a difforent body

  • u look like hitler

  • i crash everytime i fly this little guy. it puts up with it very well, but pine trees tend to eat it alot.

  • At 7:55 it sounds like the planes like "HELP ME"!!!!!

  • Great video, but one thing you got wrong is that the spitfire is the most famous plane of WWII not the mustang. LOL

  • mine is very nose-heavy

  • hello nightflyyer, can i use my lama 2,4 ghz transmitter for the airplane,or if u could recomment me a very cheap 2,4 ghz transmitter, thanks mate

  • the p51 was my first rc plane and now after 1 and a half month i got two parkzone p51

  • thats not the most famous fighter of ww2, the spitfire is!!!!!!

  • @rurikia yeh ur right

  • I wish they make ultra micro corsair. I will buy them for sure

  • I crash that plane every time I fly it. It's twitchy. Maybe if I had a DX6i it would help.

  • i would shit myself if i had to fly my p-51 in there!!

  • thanks for this. im thinking of getting this as my first 4 channel plane. been doing 3 channels for a while now.

  • Great video, thanks! I've bought my DX-6i radio, and have a night vapor on order. As soon as I've figured that out, I'm thinking to get this model for my first four channel. Does that sound like a reasonable idea? Of course while I'm waiting I'm practicing on sim.

  • GREEN hood?? what were parkzone thinking? First thing I`ll have to do is paint that red

  • Try crashing it like that about 5 more times lol

  • is the DX6i a good transmiter and how many channels dose it have?

  • @MarcoMaticProduction It has 6.

  • Great vid as usual Dave!

Did you change any adjustments on the radio, like EXPO etc? Finally broke down and ordered one yesterday. Thought I'd get my feet wet with this since I've been flying helis for just over a year now. See what all the fuss is about that the fixed wing boys in the club talk about.

  • i love the buggard but it charges too long and the fight time is short, so im in a manuver and the motor shuts off and i crash it that is the only down side and the tail is so delicate.

  • lol i just got this today and ive never flown a plane and i broke the landing gear off but i glued nicely back in place with a little elmers glue and right now im still learning

  • amazing video! Really funny and wow that's some pretty great damage resistance!

  • This plane was my first and I must say I was up and flying in no time. Careful when flying in the wind cause it will get tossed around. But this thing is so much fun!

  • I'm guessing no need for a bind plug?

  • @motorcopjoe Nope!

  • Did you have the Bind plug or did you bind it without?? Thanks.

  • I'm worried.

I've never flown before and I ordered this plane yesterday. Already shipped.

If I fly over grass in a large field will it be ok?

  • @Flumphinator

i bought this plane about 3 days ago and tried flying it in about 10mph winds my maiden flight (first time with ne rc plane) and got it in the air but it was ugly after that after a couple crashes into a couple inches of snow it was fine, then the next day took it out in a little less wind bout 8mph and got the hang of it right away, it can be a beginner plane but prlly not recommended

  • micro b-25 xD

  • they should make a micro spitfire

  • @tamadrums111 yes yes yes, I would buy one immediately, I love my now very beat up 51, the sukhoi is great, a Spit would be awesome! Please Parkzone, just do it.

  • @tamadrums111 they do bud. check out hobby-lobby

  • @tamadrums111 also a micro corsair

  • @tamadrums111 they do

  • @tamadrums111 no a micro f-22 hahaha!!!

  • @tamadrums111 u could always make one yourself....uhhh get a micro plane go o a foam cutting shop or a furniture cutting store or any where u cant cut foam and cut the AIRODYNAMIC wings out make sure its aurodynamics and glue it all 2gether :D the modeling for the bdy is just a simple foam block cut in to the shape :3

  • i just got this yesterday sadly its been to windy to fly. i am going to try to do it at my schools gym

  • Might be a bit difficult depending on your school's gym size.... 1 basketball court is constant movement of the sticks, no relaxing. I fly it in a baseball field and it works well.

  • @14MorrisonB Yeah it finally calmed down an I flew it in th farm field behind my house. It does seem that it would be difficult in a gym

  • And is It electric or gas?

  • electric

  • @25852Dan wow u must be really dumb to tell the diffrance

  • Does it come with a transmitter or do you have to buy one?

  • watch my vids

  • 2 small get a big 1 not a gay small 1 wast of 100 bucks

  • I need a reason to get the DX7, will this P-51 handle 7000ft indoors? I will be flying in the 2nd largest Wood Dome in the US, the skydome at NAU.

  • It's a park zone p-51 Mastang

  • you mean you are

  • i would not be talking have you watched ur vids lately???? you sound like one just for saying that :)

  • You always have such great videos dave. Thanks for posting.

  • i just got this today but when i got home it was to dark to fly so hopefuly weather will be good enough tomarrow to try it out, omg its so light, thought, i thought the motor would have at least made it nose heavy or something, amazing

  • i made a 4 prop mod ill uploa pics if u want to see but i bet u could perfected :D

  • i saw that usmc hat. From one Marine to another OOH RAAAH

  • mustang is more balanced than sukhoi

lisarenee3505 the 24. ghz futaba will work Its 3.4 GHz duh man any 2.4 will work with a 2.4 system that is why they made it on the other side of things my sukhoi gets 2 min of flying time and my mustang gets 10 min stupid plane

  • how fast is tht airplane ????

  • which plane is more stable dave the micro p-51 or the sukoi im 14 and would like to buy one or the other. i have the blade msr ad love it!!!!!!!!!!thanks dave

  • im in the exact same situation as you. im going for the p51, because it has an under camber wing. making it a tad more stable.

  • hi dave i WAS JUST WONDERING in that video how much thotle were u using in those winds

  • HI dave ..

I just bough one of this but the RTF version do you recommend to fly with the stock control ?

    Thanks

  • if you have the stock controller then horizon hobby recomend you using this controller for simplicity

if you have a dx6 or 5i then you can make the model fly at really calm settings as you can adjust the expo and things which you cant do on the stock transmiter you can only put it on half or full rates which should be good enough even for beginners, ild say keep the stock controller then get a dx6/5i if you decide to get lots of eflite/parkzone dsm2 models then you dont need to rebind alot

  • Thanks for you reply , i bought a used sukhoi plane with a dx5i Tx , but still on the way so i just want to know if is better to wait for the dx5i or just fly with the stock Tx.

But thanks to you i`ll try with the stock Tx lot of thanks

  • Can you use a Futaba 2.4GHz tx with this plane, or will it only bind with Spektrum boxes? I', interested in this plane, but I paid $250 for my Futaba T7C and I'm really not willing to shell out more money for another 2.4G tx just because some company wants to get all proprietary with the technology.

  • how much is it

  • 1:24 where can i buy a multi charger to charge those batteries?

  • well the 120mah is only 8 bucks. will buy a couple and maybe that nifty charger you have in your video later.

im leaning towards this or something else maybe, but with a dsm2 radio in the RTF for 120 bucks..seems logical. It wont be a huge loss if i destroy it on first flight

  • can it take slightly higher cap li-po? say 150 mah or 200. I guess it could be done

im thinking of picking on of these up in the RTF kit with the included tx. Im not looking to spend much right now heh. Just get my feet wet and some fun

  • yes any single cell pack should work

parkzone sell 150mah upgrade packs so i know those work in any of the micro models with those packs,

if you arnt looking on spending much and dont already have a dx6/5i then the standard tx will do just fine and will work on many of the other bind and fly models too so the next model you get will work with that standard tx too :)

the standard tx is quite good too as it has high and low rates for beginners just like the bigger tx's

  • im a beginner. i wanna get this plane as a first, so should i get the dx6i or the dx5e?

  • Thanks for the video. You said you like it better than the Sukhoi. What limitations in aerobatics would it have in comparison the the Sukhoi. Can you do knife edge and inverted flight on the Mustang? Would a large indoor gymnasium be enough space? God bless!

  • this little plane killed a member in our club

  • ? how do you mean ???

  • looks like a great little plane. 5/5 as usual

  • haha, that remindes me of when i flew my sukhoi in 42 mph wind gusting to 48, and snaped both elevaders off and a wing off, IN THE AIR!

  • rofl

  • well hasan shouldnt mess with things if u dont know what ur doin huh

  • Man these mustangs do not have a stable flight at all!

  • Got this plane yesterday! OMG! Outstanding flyer! This is by far the best micro out there. It may not be a first plane but it is a stable flyer! Took it out in the wind today. It was a little bit of a challenge but still flew way better then any other micro would in those conditions. Nice test vid!

  • I have the sukhoi and the p-51d and by far the p-51d is my favorite this lil sucker flies like it 20 ft long it controls awesome i recommend this to every 1 ty again Mr. Herbert for helping me make my choice in r/c top notch

  • HAHA! I loved this! I just ordered mine and it's supposed to be in the mail tomorrow. This video has me really excited!!!

  • I just got mine yesterday!! :D I take it out today for the first flight!

  • heh heh heh lets see it fly dude!

  • real nice :)

i love the p51's and spitfires are my fave warbirds

all parkzone/ hobbyzone etc products are really well made so im planning on getting the bind & fly version of this as i have the stock msr transmitter and 3 120 mah packs so that will be four packs and the msr 4 port charger :D thats more flight time than i can ever hope for :D

luckily in scotland we get alot of calm days to fly, cold but calm winds, cant wait to get this little bird its awesome

  • Just got my P51 in the mail today!! Now if it would stop raining I could go fly.

  • nice demo dave, i might just pick one up this week....thanks alot, my wife may be pissed at me,,,

  • This could be a good 1st plane for me, Dave. (I'll need your expert instruction, of course.) Sure wish the wind was blowing that good when I was flying my kite in that same park. Great camera work, Ilea!

    Scott

  • No, this is NOT a beginner plane.

    Look at the Phantom.

You need something where you can learn the basics of orientation, controls, etc. Also using a sim helps too. Just buy the $19.95 ESky USB trainer with FMS software and custom maps/models.

  • Hey scott dave just did a reveiw on a highwing trainer Called Skytrainer by nitroplanes. look it up on NightFlyyer's page, It looks like a great trainer to me, I learned on a cub myself but any high wing plane should work well for you.

  • okay thx. :-)

  • how long do you get on a battery.

  • Great demo Dave! I'd love to get one of them, but I don't know if I can do the Vertical Hover and Landing just yet... many hours on the simulator first and years of crashing a learner plane perhaps?

These new motor and battery technology makes for some very cool flying huh?

How long until the UAS takes on electronic engines? I'd guess the big birds nead the heavy fuel, but smaller tactical units already use this technology -- can you say?

  • okay now dave im curious do you like this mustang or the sukhoi better. from what iv seen they look similar and are around the same price but i was wondering wat is your expert opinion??

  • Sukhoi is slightly more capable, but they are basically the same plane... component and design wise.

  • Whew! Ilea MUST'VE gotten somewhat dizzy filming that plane in circles on that 1/2 court basketball gym. Still, you did a fine job of it! Thanks for the vid Dave.

  • I WANT ONE OF THOSE SOOO BAD!!

  • I like this bind'n'fly concept. But gotta get Tx first, so do you guys have a opinion does the make matter when it comes to basic 6ch+ transmitters?

  • The Spektrum DX6i (like Dave uses a lot) is a very good TX and uses

DSM2 technology (check out Spektrum website for more detailed info). If you consider to buy a Bind'n fly version like this one, make sure to check the TX you want to buy will be able to bind with the RX installed in the airplane. Happy flying !

  • Thanks for the advice !

  • Corsair! ha ha, no wait Hellcat! no wait, it was the ? one of them lol all of them? we win.

  • Hey can the TX bind R/C mini 2ch helicopters? plz replay .........

  • no...those are controlled by an infared transmitter...

  • erm i meant radio controlled ones.....

  • I know but if they have 2 channels usually they are infared. 4 channel and above (sometimes 3) have 72MHZ or 2.4 GHZ

  • erm can it bind a random helicopter? like salvation 9,silverlit gyrotor?

  • Comment removed

  • no this is a 2.4 ghz Spektrum DSM2 transmitter, for hobby grade rc helicopters and planes. this can only bind to aircraft equipped with the DSM2 technology. the silverlit gyrotor and others are toy grade, and dont work with 2.4 ghz. they run on infrared, 27mhz, and 72mhz

  • Nice plane, I bought one, and a sukhoi, just waiting for calm weather to fly, lol, nice review Dave 5*****.................Bob

  • o wait its not on a string!? thats kewl!

  • I sure like how E-flite is costing less and less, a year ago I got a Blade cp pro and no not 2 a week later the cp pro 2 came out! last time I've got an rc. not the last because i need more money...

  • very nice video, this plane looks more powerful than the sukhoi. You must have your own keys to that gym lol.

  • eney thing looks better than the sukhoi

  • I am pretty sure, in the description box, I said "the most famous American Fighter of WWII." I will be doing more military plane reviews, including the Spitfire, which is also famous in it's own right, so stay tuned. Thanks for your comments.

  • this thing is coolio

  • i think that $99.99 "looks more" than $100. just my psychology. great vid, btw.

  • Thanks. Yep. Just quoting their price. It was a "C" note either way, plus tax! LOL.
