Just another example of the Melvin's amazing hit making ability.Gee I wonder why they never get any air play, yeah just don't get it. There just so deep ,heavy, dark and sludgy.
u just mentioned the exact reasons why don't get airplay - deep, heavy, dark and sludgy. nobody wants to listen to something new and mind-altering on the radio, it never sells. i love melvins, but sufficient airplay will never happen unless buzz cuts his hair short and starts playing generic rock like... nickelback?
@NuclearGuru350 so could "the Hawk" or "Kicking Machine" their fast without being too fast for people brains. And maybe if "Stupid Creep" didn't have such awesome vocals they'd put that on the radio, but no one really wants to listen to new inventive music i guess
The first time I heard this cover it was live, and I couldn't entirely recognize it at first. But then they started singing, and I realized it was the most ingenious thing ever.
I was there as well, and this suprised the hell out of me. It was probally the best concert I've ever seen. I also saw Mudhoney went they went thru Cambridge, and they were good, but the Melvins sounded SO much better.
Awesome, I was there for this one too. I had no idea they'd been covering this, so it was sort of weird when Buzz started singing and I realized why exactly that riff sounded familiar.
this is complete shit. no energy like the real song.

@thesportsdude90 All covers aren't meant to be the same as the original, dipshit.

Civilized Worm could've been on the radio, and that's one of my favorite Melvins songs.

For me, seeing the Melvins last year, plus seeing Mudhoney some time afterwards at Middle East, Cambridge, for 2008, definitely both great shows
