If the stupid people didn't own animals there wouldn't be all of these restrictions, but unfortunately the world is full of those who like to abuse them, shoot them for no reason, poison, let them overbreed and not take care of them properly (this goes for all animals) so we have restrictions on what pets we can have and what breeds even. Idiots get a lot of the good folks' privileges taken away.

prarie dogs are actually quiet good pets if you get them when there young and keep them from other prarie dogs they will bond with you and you should never give them water since they get it from the foods they eat

i didnt know you could keep them as pets.. and in japan no less..

we used had them next to our barn in colorado.

Japan was able to keep the prairie dog only several years ago now though it seemed not to be able to keep the prairie dog in Japan.

@grapesoda4me420 We have prairie dogs in Malaysia as well. They are imported, no doubt.. and captive breed, not the wild ones that roam around outdoor. You'll need to purchase them though. Kinda pricey, in fact. But they are ADORABLE animals. I have one. *winks*
