THANK YOU SO MUCH! After trying for like the 100th time to install this crap, your method worked perfectly. And to all of those who are experiencing black screens, just delete your minecraft folder in the application support folder and delete your minecraft app. Reinstall minecraft and then try to install all the mods again. It worked for me.

Hi! I've never successfully downloaded a mod before, I have terrible trouble with it. I've gotten the furthest with you, but I need help. I am in the Bin folder located in the mine craft folder. I opened the mine craft.jar with the archive Utility (i checked, I have Snow Leopard) I got something that looks like a zipper called minecraft.jar.cpgz Not a minecraft folder...... Please tell me if that is correct :S I renamed it to minecraft.jar and deleted the other thing, but.. still not a folder.:S
