  • That was awesome.

I still would have perfered Dinosaur Planet without the StarFox characters, but I did like the way they improved the visuals in the Gamecube and the way Krystal was designed, But I would like her more as a cargirl instead of a foxgirl

  • @TBoneTony cargirl lol

  • Because StarFox Adventures sucked in every way possible, Nintendo owes Rare an apology for ruining their game.

  • fun fact, the name of the trisarotop from Diddy Kong Racing was Tricky, and ya know that game was partially developed by rare, Star Fox Adventures, you figure out the rest of the connection

  • Okay. I knew about Dinosaur planet since like, the fisrt day they started development (At least when they mentioned it) and I had a hard time waiting. I was abit disapointed and excited tha it became Starfox Adventures...I think the original would have been much more dramatic and much better (On any console BTW).

  • I love the lord of the dance music you put in it. i love that album

  • i just got Star Fox Adventures, and it's not a bad game...it really isn't...

it's just i knew of what it could've been and the fact that it's a blatant Zelda ripoff to boot...

had it been anyone else developing this game it would've been 20x's worse, i give Rare credit for keeping some quality to it

  • I think it's more like Star Fox; Terranigma style. And not ot mention that Star Fox Adventures is a great game in my opinion as well. The music tracks from that game sound Lord of the Rings worthy.

PS: Terranigma pwns Legend of Zelda.

  • :) i haven't played Terranigma, but i'll have to check it out

  • If you ever played it you would see how Star Fox Adventures and Terranigma are somewhat similar in only a few ways. Still they're both ownage.

  • Never played Terrnigma before. I've heard of it, but never played it. I should try it out, though.

Personally, I thought Starfox Adventures was disappointing, but it certainly wasn't bad (although things like the Test of Fear royally pissed me off.). The graphics are the best I've seen on a GC game. And what can I say? I like dinosaurs.

  • God this game would've been awesome had it not been altered to be Star Fox Adventures! Seeing as they cut out 60 fricking percent of the storyline in Adventures to make it Star Fox... They could've atleast made a cameo for Sabre! ahh i wish they'd have made this how it was supposed to be. Even if it was an N64 game released during Gamecube's Reign.

  • yeah nintendo got lazy makin rare turn this into star fox shame on them!!

  • So help lobby to get it released on Virtual Console. Microsoft should own the rights.

  • Err I mean on Live Arcade.

  • i think nintendo has the license as well...

  • this was a very awesome video! for a couple of years, i urge to play this unreleased game, just to see how different it was from starfox adventures; probably alot better

  • Ah. What a beautiful video. See? Dinosaur Planet could have been better left off on its own, and this video really shows it. I'm inspired by this, and I'd like to do something with that inspiration. Good job.

Also, the music at 3:04. I can't find it, and yes, I looked, but maybe not hard enough. I'm really sorry to ask, but what is it called?

  • Closing credits from "Braveheart" by James Horner. It's a very good soundtrack.

  • Oh, thank you so much. :]

  • @Teqsinterrier Do you think Rare will release this game on the Xbox Live Arcade just like they did to Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark?

  • @TheFoxshot I'd say 100% unlikely, since the entire game save a few characters was ported to the GameCube as an installment of one of Nintendo's key franchises.

I'm still curious to see how close to the Rare original the new version of GoldenEye on Wii will be...

  • @Teqsinterrier I agree with you, i wanted to see how this game would be like without the connection of Starfox and the game looked good by itself, but seeing how Rare is right now I too would doubt it being released on arcade. anyway nice video i really like the song it fits in great.

  • @Teqsinterrier Oh and i would say that the new Golden Eye for the Wii will end up being pretty good, it wont beat Rare's goldeneye but i have a feeling it will end up being a pretty good game. I am only concerned for activision because they tend to end up making good games but also end up making worst ones, so i hope they dont screw the game up.

  • @TheFoxshot dude Rare's GoldenEye was way better than the one on the wii. The new one sucks because it has Daniel Craig as James bond. Thats just half of why it sucks.

  • @Xeninicune dinosaur planet indeed could have made it on its own but u can blame Shigeru Miyamoto and all of Nintendo for cancelling it and tampering with Rare's game.

  • The remaining music from the original game was released as promo from rarewares website many years ago and is in circulation still and some of it still appears in SFA for the gamecube. You can find the music on limewire likely or other user uploaded areas as other users including I had downloaded it when the game was anticipated when the N64 game was being promoted

  • Hah, crap. Sorry. Hadn't read the credits yet when I asked that. I did notice that you got SOME music from the DP soundtrack. Where did you get it?

Also, VERY nice video. Very professional. Nice work. I really wish that this would've been released instead of SFA...but it can't be helped. A nice VC release wouldn't hurt, though.

  • Yeah, incidentally I made this my second year of college on four separate Saturdays while watching random afternoon flicks on TV like "Punch Drunk Love" and "Night at Roxbury." I made it after playing through the 20+ hours of SFA the few days before classes started. I was kinda sad afterwards because I remembered hearing about DP back in 2000. Had it been released on N64, it would have been hands-down the most impressive game of the 32/64-bit era...but alas it was not to come to pass...

  • BTW, I used Limewire to download the "Dinosaur Planet Theme," which is the one that has all of the drums. (It sounds different here b/c I created a bit of a delay effect.) Most of the David Wise music used in SFA is actually original to DP; the music in the opening battle against Gen. Scale's flying ship was used in the teaser trailers for the N64 game.

  • WHAT!? c'mon people, star fox adventures is one of the best games ever, it finally introduces a "lady friend" for fox... which unfortunately they ruined in command... anyway true star fox adventures dows have some fuzzy points, but it really isn't that bad

  • Hey, I gots a question about Command: the booklet says there are some 9 different endings to the game--I only played through it once...and Krystal left permanently to join up with Star Wolf, even AFTER getting BACK together with Fox...

Is that how it happens every time, or just in that particular ending?

(BTW, if Krystal doesn't appear in any further Star Fox games, it's because Nintendo finally decided to mandate "killing her off." ...And I ENJOYED SFA, but still wish it had been Dino Planet)

  • lol all 5hye endings are unfit for a new story... however i finished em all so i guess i can tell you a few... 1 krystal and fox gets married, star fox disbands, and they have a kid, the kid is named marcus and creates a new star fox. another krystal joins star fox, and then soon leaves to becomes a rogue and changes her name to kursed. another dash, andross's grandson takes over venom and becomes evil. stuff like that... though only one ending is ok...

  • so in other words, krystal leaving happens only in a few endings... no endings are fit for another beginning... i'd rather have one where katt and amanda joins (she finally gets her wish of being near falco XD) and krystal doesn't get back together with fox. Krystal perhaps finds another soul mate, perhaps a new addition to the team... hmm... sound more like a book rather than a game plot O.o

  • I'm fine with Star Fox Adventures; Star Fox Terranigma style, FTW.

I just hope they don't kill Krystal... *hugs Krystal plushie*

  • no theres the normal and best where they stay togthr im not sure about any othrs but thers one whr she joins SW and falco convinces fox to turn their vehicls to hovercars so thy culd do F-Zero tourn. (Cpt. Falcon's game)

  • @FoxDarkcloud0 No all is it did is butcher what seemed like a good game, and turned the heroin of the game in to another one of nintendos damsels in distress.

  • Is this the actual score from the original Dinosaur Planet? If so, where did you get it?

  • that rare ware symbol was badass!
