Even were the 0% thing to be true (which it may well be, I can't check right now, I just don't know), there's still other evidence that this particular clip is a hoax. Even discounting the fact that Goldeen shouldn't light him on fire, just before the Pokeball hits the ground you can clearly see the dust clouds where Jigglypuff moved into position.

As for the Tiny thing, I'll believe it when I see it (and go check myself when possible). Same for the SSB64 claim.

Its hard to say if it is real or not, nobody can verify either way, yes it has the same effects as rest, but the bubbles don't look like rest at all (I main jiggs) doesn't the splash animation have bubbles? The rest would have killed him, but some say it was a handicap to make the fake video, but why would the creator go through all the motions of a fake fight, instead of a lame training mode video? I am leaning more towards the fake side, but until someone comes up with a new vid we don't know.

I think I've dissected this video, since I found the exact same upload without lag on someone else's channel. If this isn't just some idiot perpetuating an obviously false rumor that should have died years ago, then here is my analysis of what COULD have made this occur.

This is a team battle, and you can hear the voice over saying Jigglypuff has been defeated. If Fox had a second life, Jigglypuff could have borrowed it and the player could have somehow stumbled onto a bizarre glitch --

Actually you keep the 0% even after you die if you're killed by teammates. I know this because it happens to me a lot when my teammate kills my last stock >.>

Anyway, I've had this happen to me before but in the first game. A Goldeen instant killed me as it came out of the pokeball. It seemed as if I was rested by jigglypuff though.

Played Tiny Melee long enough to connect with Goldeen five times. Also turned on Poison Mushrooms in normal versus mode to try it there. Didn't do anything no matter where I was or what I was doing. The game's code has been completely hacked by players. We'd know if Goldeen did something.

I agree that there is an invisible character on the screen, whether it be Jigglypuff or not. The maker of this video wants us to think that the character had died by editing a fake "Defeated" at the beginning. If the character really had been "defeated", it would not have a "0%" at the bottom. Instead, there would be nothing there.
