Bubba drunk boating = Bubba goes to jail. It is that simple. I will forever live in PAIN thanks to a selfish drunk driver!!! They should all lose their licenses for LIFE. No second chances. And before you judge me I was the passenger. We were completely stopped at a light. Drunk decided NOT to stop.
The guy fucks his wife up by accident and is obviously pretty fucking gutted about it. And the authorities try and get another fucking cunt behind bars cos it looks good by being "hard" on crime. When the fuck are people going to stop eating this shit like fucking sheep. If they were really hard on crime they would be putting this sort of effort into arresting the cunts on wall street who have systimatically raped your country for years. Just saying.
Fucking drunks. I don't know all the details about this case, but speaking in general, throw the book at drunks who hurt others. And hard. They are selfish bullies. It's one thing if they don't want to respect themselves, but to destroy the lives of others is something else and must not be looked upon lightly. Of COURSE you're gonna feel sorry if you accidentally hurt another. But you should have thought about that before risking other people's lives. Sorry is not enough.
That can't be the way it happened due to laws of physics. He would have had to come back..maybe to pick her up out of the water and accidently hit her due to DUI and miscalculated the distance...OR...on purpose. But no way it could have done it on the fall off. The story is wrong. No matter how it happened it is sad and at least he did pick her up again instead of letting her drown. Silver linings....
He wasnt that drunk.... Get a quote from the wife.. If she fell out of the boat he would have had to have done a series of maneuvers to successfully run her over.. sounds like there may be foul play.. need to ask the wife... hicks...
oh yea, this man intentionally threw her off with the precise angle of the turn while drunk with the aim of cutting her left arm off by the rear propeller, obviously an assault.
This is truly a tragic event. But what is even more tragic is the fact that, not only was the new owner drunk, but neither he nor his wife have any common sense. Their priorities are really messed up. These two adults, (mature in age only)parents of a 2 yo child, thought more of owning a boat, maintaining, storing and insuring it than having medical coverage for themselves or their child. It is never too late to grow some brains, and hopefully they did and learned some responsibility.
@tritrack I know your comment is a year old, but for the record, what a self righteous crock of shit reply on your part man. You know what a damn scam health insurance is for a small family? A small fortune. One year of unused or unneeded health insurance would AT MINIMUM pay for that boat three times over... The damn hospital itself is a crooked institution. If I could only afford a third of what insurance costs I'd go for the boat too.. At least you're getting something honest for your money.
@rednoseroxy I stand by my comments. Irresponsible people. Drunk while piloting a boat, spending money on a luxury when he has no health insurance to cover any event that might come down the road for either himself, his wife or their infant child. Just where are his priorities? Regardless of how expensive medical coverage is, do you channel your money towards a boat and hope that you'll never need medical coverage? Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
I (and so did my family) went without a lot in life just so that we would be covered in the (likely or unlikely) event of need. I am not defending the costs/operation of the medical profession. I agree...the costs are outrageous. But I am just saying that I don't think I could live with myself if a family member's health was jeopardized or compromised because of the lack of health insurance while I tooled around drunk on my spiffy new boat. It's called being an adult and responsible.

It seems pretty heartless to take the guy into custody while his wife goes to the hospital. He could have been cited and released.
