i think the stringed instrument is a shehnai? such a sublime sound, sounds like a stylized wail or crying. very beautiful tune and performance. makes me recall that 'god is in music'.
It cant be Shehnai. Shehnai is a pipe instrument. Late Bismillah Khan was an Ustad of it. If you have seen the hindi movie Goonj Uthi Shehnai (1959) you would know which instrument Shehnai is. This is probably Sarangi.
