Amazing. Some colonists recognized robbery and wanted peaceful settlement with the natives. Some called them indians. Now some prefer native Americans. But perhaps Canada has it better as "First Nation".

And we see even today that some nations are kept unstable so the others can offer 'guidance' and 'development' in our neocolonial global world.

Truly a facscinating character. Thanks.

I had never heard of Roger Williams..the title says Walker...

Interesting painting...I aways try to force pictals into patterns...I do that with yours, and I think that defeats the idea of them...My tendency to do that says something about the way the mind works...For example, in this week's painting I think I see a man in a hat holding a rolled scroll in from of him...I think it's because I was staring at the painting while I listened to you and my mind created a pic that matched the narative

Roger Williams is the founder of the State of Rhode Island. I wrote a short play about him in 7th grade social studies class (I think it was 7th grade). I wish I still had it; I'm sure it was really bad. ;-)
