How to Replace Your Shocks : How to Check the Condition of Your Shocks

On older model cars...how can you tell the deference between a front shock or back...?my neighbor moved and gave me a pare of brand new Gabriel ultra's he thought should fit my 1990 g20 van but he moved before i could ask him were they front or rear....or does it matter?

yes anti rust spray and dont wait spray when new.

rust occurs underneath the paint, the rust spots will just grow underneath and chip off a huge piece of the paint, only way to insure it is to get an anti rust spray and coat it, if its really bad, replace the shock or sand it down before u apply paint
