You're absolutely right, for me the best 4x4 by far but it's a shame not to find the full documentary about the expedition to enjoy the entire journey.
Offroving renacted portions of this trip beginning in 2006 through 2009 doing many of the same trails, including Black Bear, Poughkeepsie, Engineer Pass, Red Cone Mt. and many others. I was fortunate to do 3 of the 4 trips, and while the video is awesome, the real scenery is breathtaking, and the new generation of LR's, including the RR Sport, LR3 and DII's handled it well. LR is the best 4X4XFAR!
Had the pleasure of having a small part in helping to organize the event as an employee of the Denver Range Rover dealership. I even got to participate (drive) the Ouray/Telluride leg, which included Black Bear and Imogene Pass. That afternoon on Imogene, the Expedition crew rescued four seniors who rolled their jeep in the Tomboy Mine area. In addition to Tom Collins, Bob Burns deserves recognition for leading a truly historic event. Still have my GDE jacket tucked away in a safe place!

I had the great fortune to meet Tom a few years back. He told me that he bought one of these vehicles after the event and drove it personally as well as with his driving school that was in Colorado. He did tell me that he ended up removing the decals once they began to get scratched up. Thank you for your comment!

There was on Great Divide IV a Range Rover Classic, Great Divide Edition, which made the trip in fine fashion. Great memories...

My English is also bad on this video, the bad thing is you can not find any in which you can view the entire expedition.
